Self-Service Tumble Dryers DANUBE

Self-service tumble dryers 8–35 kg

In a self-service laundry the dryer sets the turnover. A customer occupies the machine for as long as the cycle runs, so every minute saved means more people served per day. At the same time, drying is the single biggest energy cost in the business.

Danube self-service dryers are the same industrial models configured for coin-op operation — Danube states that the OPL version is easily transformed into the self-service version. All capacities from 8 to 35 kg are available, in every construction type: single pocket, stacked double and heat pump.

They are chosen by laundromat owners, managers of residential complexes and staff accommodation, campsites, marinas, student halls and hotels with a self-service laundry corner for guests.

Available models

DPR 8-10 self-service — professional 8 and 10 kg dryers for small laundries and sites with modest footfall.

Single pocket SILVER / BRONZE / BASIC — from 11 to 35 kg, three classes to match the load and the budget.

Stacked double STD XP SILVER / BRONZE / BASIC — two independent chambers in one cabinet, double capacity in a single footprint.

Heat pump GOLD — for laundries with no external exhaust or very limited space.

Three classes

  • SILVER — ET2 control, fully programmable, with additional features including Care Dry moisture control. On the ET2 SILVER models Danube Online IoT connectivity is standard.
  • BRONZE — EM control, simpler, with time and temperature selection.
  • BASIC — the most economical class, with EM control and white painted panels.

Common to all classes

  • Reversing drum on every model — linen does not rope up and dries evenly.
  • Large lint filter with a wide surface — easy to service under heavy daily load.
  • Cool Down — cooling at the end of the cycle, so the customer does not pull out hot, creased linen.
  • Electric or gas heating — chosen to match the site's connections.
  • Convertible from the OPL version — the same model works in either mode.

Payment options

  • Electronic coiner for coins or tokens, available for various currencies.
  • Mechanical coiner for coins or tokens.
  • Central payment — the customer pays in one place and selects a machine.

Available options

CARE DRY moisture control (SILVER), SPRINKLER fire protection system (SILVER), stainless steel cabinet or front panel (SILVER), double door glass (SILVER and BRONZE), programming console for the EM programmer (BRONZE and BASIC), reversing door opening (all classes), tropicalised version (ET2), lint filter with a 0.6 or 1.2 mm grid (0.3 mm is standard), perfume dosing system (SILVER).

Frequently asked questions

How many dryers per washer does a laundry need?
In practice laundromats plan at least one dryer per washer, often more, because the drying cycle is usually longer than the wash cycle. Too few dryers creates a queue, and customers leave.

Which class should I choose?
SILVER if you want to monitor machines remotely, programme cycles and use Care Dry moisture control. BRONZE if selecting time and temperature is enough. BASIC if the initial investment is the deciding factor.

How does Care Dry help a laundromat?
Moisture control stops the cycle once the linen is dry, so nothing runs empty. That cuts electricity per cycle and frees the machine for the next customer sooner.

How do customers pay?
Your choice: coins or tokens directly at the machine, or a central payment station. Several methods can be combined in one laundry.

Why does a large lint filter matter?
In a self-service laundry the filter is not cleaned by the customer but by staff who visit once a day or less. A large filter stays permeable for longer, so the machine does not run clogged between service visits.

Is an external exhaust required?
For single pocket and stacked double models, yes. Heat pump GOLD models need no exhaust, which allows a laundry to be fitted out in a room with no external wall.

What size dryers should a laundromat have?
A typical laundry mixes sizes: 11–14 kg for everyday loads and at least one 28 or 35 kg for duvets and down jackets. The large machines usually command the highest price per cycle.
