A double dryer is two independent drying chambers in one cabinet, one above the other. On the floor it takes the footprint of a single machine, but it works as two: bed linen in one chamber, towels in the other, each running its own programme and its own cycle.
Danube STD XP is the new generation of this range. Danube states that the XP models are more powerful with considerably reduced cycle times, more robust and quieter, and offer easier access to components for maintenance. Available in 11, 14, 18 and 22 kg per chamber.
They are chosen by self-service laundries, hotels with limited laundry space, nursing homes, sports clubs and any site that needs to double drying capacity without adding floor area.
SILVER XP ET2 — Easy Touch 2 control with a 7" touchscreen and IoT connectivity as standard, fully programmable. The widest choice of options, including Care Dry moisture control and the Sprinkler fire extinguishing system.
BRONZE XP EM — the same quality and the same XP generation mechanics, but with a simple EM electronic programmer where time and temperature are selected with push-buttons.
BASIC XP EM — the entry class at the lowest purchase price.

How does a double dryer differ from two separate ones?
A double dryer is a factory-built unit with two chambers in one cabinet on a shared frame. Two separate dryers stacked in a column are two machines, each with its own cabinet. The double version is usually more compact, simpler to install and cheaper than two separate machines.
Can both chambers run at the same time with different programmes?
Yes. Each chamber has its own control and its own cycle, so one can dry bed linen while the other handles towels or workwear.
Which class should I choose?
SILVER XP if you want programmable cycles, remote monitoring or moisture control. BRONZE XP if selecting time and temperature is enough for your staff — the mechanics are identical. BASIC XP if purchase price is the deciding factor.
What does XP mean?
It is Danube's new generation of double dryers. Compared with the previous one they are more powerful with shorter cycle times, more robust and quieter, with easier access to components during maintenance.
Is an external exhaust required?
Yes, the STD XP range is vented. If an exhaust cannot be installed, look at heat pump dryers.
How much space is needed?
The floor area is roughly that of a single dryer of the same capacity, but the height is greater because the chambers sit one above the other. When planning, always check the ceiling height and the doorway dimensions for delivery.
