The washer and the dryer are only half of a laundry. The other half is how the customer pays and how the linen moves between the machines. In daily use, these are what determine how fast the staff work and how comfortable the customer feels.
This section covers Danube payment solutions for self-service laundries, plus the linen handling and wrapping accessories that suit both self-service and in-house laundry rooms.
Danube states that converting an in-house laundry to self-service with a coin or token dispenser is quick and easy.
EMB-600M, EMB-600B and EMB-L — linen wrapping machines, useful for laundries serving external clients, hotel groups and healthcare facilities where clean linen must be delivered in protective packaging.
Plinths for loading height, dosing pump kits, Care Dry sensors, Sprinkler systems and similar items are not separate accessories — they are options for a specific machine and must be ordered with it. They are listed under "Available options" in each equipment category.
Can a coiner be fitted to an existing machine?
Danube machines are designed so that the in-house version can be converted to self-service. Whether it is possible on your particular machine depends on the model and its age — send us the model number and we will check.
Coins, tokens or card — which should I choose?
Tokens protect against theft and let you control pricing, but require a token dispenser. Coins are more familiar to customers. Card and phone via the kiosk or the app mean there is no cash in the laundry at all — safer, and increasingly what customers expect.
How does the Danube Laundry Kiosk work?
It is a central payment station: the customer walks up, selects a machine, pays by card or phone, and the machine is released. No cash sits in the machines, which cuts both the theft risk and the time staff spend emptying coiners.
Why separate dry and wet linen trolleys?
Wet linen is far heavier and drips, so those trolleys have a different construction and a different volume. Wet linen should not go into dry linen trolleys — they are not built for it and wear out faster.
How many trolleys does a laundry room need?
In practice at least two: one for soiled linen and one for clean. If the site has hygiene rules with zone separation, they must not be identical and must not move between zones.
Does a hotel need a wrapping machine?
Usually not. It pays off for laundries serving external clients and for facilities where clean linen must be delivered in protective packaging — hospitals and care homes, for example.
