Not every laundry needs maximum extraction speed. If the linen is finished on a flatwork ironer or drying time is not the critical factor, normal spin delivers the same wash quality at a lower purchase price. The Danube WEN range is exactly that option — economical to buy, but with the same Easy Touch 2 control and the same saving functions as the higher WED class.
WEN machines are hard mounted and anchored to the floor, with a G-factor of 200, which is high compared with equivalent models usually found on the market. They are chosen by nursing homes and hospitals, hotels, equestrian centres, production sites, sports clubs and laundries where durability and budget matter more than minimum drying time.
WEN 11-14-18-22-28 ET2 — machines from 11 to 28 kg with spin speeds between 689 and 759 rpm. Robust construction and quality materials, built for the most demanding daily service.
WEN 35C-45C-60C-80C ET2 — large capacity machines from 35 to 80 kg with spin speeds between 505 and 644 rpm. Designed for those looking for an economical yet productive solution with environmentally friendly features.
| Model | Capacity | G-factor | Spin speed | Control |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| WEN-11 / 14 / 18 / 22 / 28 ET2 | 11–28 kg | 200 | 689–759 rpm | Easy Touch 2, 7" |
| WEN-35C / 45C ET2 | 35–45 kg | 200 | 505–644 rpm | Easy Touch 2, 7" |

Important: WEN machines are hard mounted and must be anchored to the floor. An anchoring base is available as an option.
DQ-2 dosing pump kit and additional DB-1 pump, SLUICE version with 8 mm drum holes, anchoring base, double drain (external 3" on the WEN-11 and 14 models), normally closed valve, Aqua Flow bath water recirculation (WEN-35C and 45C), 6 additional dosing signals (14 in total), silicone door gasket, reversible door opening, tropicalised version, steam kit to convert an electric or hot water heated model, AISI 304 stainless steel cabinet or front panel.
How does WEN differ from the WED range?
WEN is normal spin with a G-factor of 200 and must be anchored to the floor. WED is high spin with a G-factor of 350–500 and is free standing. WEN costs less to buy; WED pays back through shorter drying times.
When should I choose WEN over WED?
When the linen goes to a flatwork ironer or dries naturally, when daily volumes are not at maximum, or when the initial investment is the deciding factor. If the dryer runs continuously, the higher G-factor of WED will pay for itself sooner.
Does the machine really have to be anchored to the floor?
Yes, the WEN range is a hard mounted construction and requires anchoring. An anchoring base can be ordered as an option.
Is the control simpler than on the more expensive models?
No. WEN has the same Easy Touch 2 control with a 7" touchscreen and the same saving functions as the high spin machines.
What is the SLUICE version?
A drum with 8 mm perforations, intended for heavily soiled linen and workwear carrying solid dirt particles.
Which capacity should I choose?
As a rough guide: 11–28 kg for hotels, nursing homes and medium-sized sites; 35–45 kg for small commercial laundries; 60–80 kg for larger sites with steady daily volumes.
