Cold showcase BASIA Neo PLUG-IN 1330 mm. Temperature range +1ºC/+10ºC
A static-cooled showcase keeps chilled goods visible while maintaining safe temperatures. Cold air settles inside the insulated chamber, drawn down from the evaporator coil above the storage area. Because the air is not forced by a fan, temperature gradients form naturally: cooler air pools at the bottom, slightly warmer air rises towards the curved glass. This gentle stratification preserves the texture and moisture of dairy, sausages, meat and cheese without drying them out. The static system also runs more quietly than fan-assisted models, making it suitable for front-of-house display where customer conversation matters.
To use the BASIA Neo 1.25, the operator first selects the desired temperature between +1 °C and +10 °C on the electronic controller. Once the unit reaches the set point, gastronorm containers of prepared dishes are loaded onto the stainless-steel exposition shelf. The hinged rear doors of the storage chamber allow access from the kitchen side, while the curved front glass swings open for customer service. LED lighting—available in white, confectionery or deep-pink meat tones—illuminates the display, and the anodised aluminium profiles frame the glass in gold or silver. The insulated plastic side panels and bumper can be matched to the kitchen's colour scheme using the IGLOO pattern book.
The showcase is built on a white-coated sheet-metal base with a stainless-steel worktop. Inside, the storage chamber is lined with white-coated steel, and the entire cabinet is insulated with ecological polyurethane foam. An internal cooling aggregate uses R290 refrigerant, a hydrocarbon with low global-warming potential. Automatic defrost cycles prevent ice build-up, and the condenser outlet drains into a container that must be emptied periodically. An analogue thermometer provides a quick visual check, while the electronic controller displays the current temperature and triggers an alarm if the condenser becomes blocked or the fan fails.
The 5.3 kWh per 24 hours power rating indicates the daily energy draw on a 230 V, 50 Hz circuit. The footprint of 1330 mm wide by 1155 mm deep by 1220 mm high, plus a 10 mm tolerance, determines the floor space required in the sales area. The static cooling method, combined with the adjustable temperature range, ensures that dishes remain at serving-safe temperatures without dehydration, while the LED lighting and colour-matched finishes create an attractive display for customers.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless-steel worktop and exposition shelf with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The curved front glass should be cleaned with a glass cleaner to maintain visibility. The hinged rear doors and storage chamber lining can be wiped down after removing the gastronorm containers. The condenser outlet container must be emptied regularly to prevent overflow, and the cooling aggregate should be inspected for dust accumulation to ensure efficient operation.
The BASIA Neo 1.25 is available with selectable colours for the side panels, bumper, front sheets and anodised aluminium profiles, following the IGLOO colour guide. LED lighting is offered in white, confectionery or deep-pink tones to suit the displayed products.
