IGLOO BASIA Neo 1.56 Cold Showcase for Dairy, Meat & Cheese Display

A refrigerated display unit keeps perishable foods visible and safe for sale without breaking the cold chain. The BASIA Neo 1.56 cold showcase circulates chilled air across its stainless-steel exposition area, drawing heat away from dairy products, sausages, meats and cheeses so they stay at a steady +1 to +10 °C. Static cooling—no forced fan—prevents dehydration and preserves texture and flavour throughout the trading day.

The operator loads gastronorm containers or loose items onto the stainless-steel worktop, then slides the curved front glass open to arrange them inside. An electronic controller with digital display is set to the desired temperature; the built-in thermostat maintains it automatically. LED lighting, available in white, confectionery or deep-pink tones, illuminates the contents without adding heat. When the showcase needs defrosting, the cycle starts on its own, melting ice without manual intervention. A condenser outlet directs waste water to a container beneath the unit, keeping the floor dry.

The body is built from white-coated sheet metal with anodised aluminium profiles in gold or silver. Side panels come in insulated plastic or glass, both available in a range of colours to match shop décor. The storage chamber behind the display is made of white-coated steel and has hinged back doors for restocking. Ecological polyurethane foam insulation reduces energy use, while a 230 V, 50 Hz supply powers the internal cooling aggregate. A daily energy consumption of 5.4 kWh reflects the load on the kitchen circuit.

An analogue thermometer provides a quick visual check, and an alarm sounds if the condenser becomes clogged or the fan fails. The 1650 mm width, 1155 mm depth and 1220 mm height (plus 10 mm tolerance) give a footprint that fits standard worktop layouts, while the stainless-steel worktop and bumper protect the unit during service. Automatic defrosting and an R290 refrigerant—low global-warming potential—support sustainability targets in professional kitchens.
