Hot showcase BASIA Neo 3830 mm. Temperature range +30/+90 ºC
A hot showcase keeps prepared dishes at serving temperature without drying or overcooking. The BASIA Neo 3.75 uses a bain-marie—water held in a heated stainless-steel vat—to transfer gentle, even heat to gastronorm containers. Because water conducts heat more gradually than air, the food stays moist and the temperature remains stable across every container. Warm air is also circulated to the curved front glass, preventing condensation and keeping the display clear for customers.
The operator loads GN containers into the stainless-steel exposition area, sets the thermostat anywhere between 30 °C and 90 °C, and switches on the ceramic heaters and LED lamp. The water level sensor alerts when the bain-marie needs topping up, while the adjustable legs ensure the unit sits level on the worktop or floor. Once the temperature is reached, the showcase holds the dishes ready for service, maintaining flavour and texture until the last portion is sold.
The exterior is white coated steel on the sides and rear, with a choice of painted steel colours for the front panel and bumper. ABS side panels and anodised aluminium profiles in gold or silver finish the look. Insulation is ecological polyurethane foam, and the worktop is stainless steel. The curved front glass opens for easy access, and the top lamp combines ceramic heaters with oven bulbs to keep the display warm and well-lit.
A 230 V, 50 Hz supply powers the unit, drawing 16.7 kWh over 24 hours. The footprint of 3830 mm wide, 1155 mm deep and 1220 mm high allows it to sit along a counter or against a wall, while the refrigerant R449 ensures efficient cooling of the compressor.
Cleaning follows from the materials: wipe the stainless-steel worktop and exposition area with a damp cloth and mild detergent, clean the glass with glass cleaner, and empty the bain-marie to scrub the vat. The ABS panels and painted steel surfaces can be wiped down, and the anodised aluminium profiles resist fingerprints.
Variants include different front-panel, bumper and ABS side-panel colours, plus gold or silver aluminium profiles, all selected from the IGLOO pattern book. The BASIA Neo 3.75 is designed for short-term storage and display of hot dishes in catering facilities, positioned in the IGLOO hot-holding range.
