IGLOO EWA1 AG Refrigerator Showcase for Chilled Display

A refrigerated showcase keeps chilled goods visible and accessible while maintaining a steady low temperature. A compressor circulates refrigerant through evaporator coils behind the cabinet walls. Fans draw warm air across the coils, removing heat and lowering the air temperature. The cooled air is then pushed through vents at the back and top of the unit, creating an even curtain of cold air that flows down the glass front. This forced-air circulation prevents hot spots and ensures every shelf stays within the set range without manual rotation of stock.

The operator loads products onto the five height-adjustable wire shelves, sets the electronic thermostat between +1 °C and +10 °C, and leaves the automatic defrost cycle to clear frost from the evaporator. The glass front and internal LED lighting keep items clearly visible to customers while the refrigeration system runs continuously in the background.

The cabinet is constructed from powder-coated steel panels and anodised aluminium profiles. The interior liner and shelves are stainless steel, and the door frame is reinforced with thermal insulation. A single-phase 230 V 50 Hz supply powers the compressor, fans and control electronics.

The 3.4 kWh daily energy consumption reflects the load of maintaining a low temperature in a large, frequently opened cabinet. The 620 mm width fits standard shop counters, while the 740 mm depth allows full-size trays to be stored without overhang. The 2035 mm height maximises vertical display space without exceeding typical ceiling clearances. The 125 kg weight requires two people or a trolley for safe movement.

Cleaning involves wiping the stainless-steel interior and shelves with a mild detergent solution, vacuuming dust from the condenser coils at the base, and checking that the automatic defrost drain remains clear. The powder-coated exterior can be cleaned with a damp cloth and non-abrasive cleaner.
