IGLOO EWA1 Refrigerator Showcase for Chilled Display

A refrigerated showcase keeps chilled products visible and accessible while maintaining safe temperatures. The IGLOO EWA1 circulates cold air through a fan-driven system, ensuring even cooling across every shelf. This method prevents warm spots and keeps items at a consistent temperature without freezing them, making it suitable for dairy, deli meats, salads and bottled drinks that need gentle refrigeration rather than deep chill.

The operator loads the shelves with products, sets the desired temperature between +1 °C and +10 °C on the electronic thermostat, and leaves the unit to run. Automatic defrost cycles clear frost from the evaporator without manual intervention, so the cabinet stays frost-free and the airflow remains unobstructed. The transparent front lets customers view the items while the refrigeration system works behind the scenes.

The cabinet is built with a stainless-steel interior and exterior, and the case colour can be chosen to match the shop or bar decor. Five wire shelves adjust in height to accommodate different product sizes, from tall bottles to shallow trays. The forced-air system, thermostat and defrost mechanism are all housed within the unit's 620 mm depth and 740 mm width, giving a compact footprint for the 500 m³ storage volume.

A 220-240 V, 50 Hz supply powers the compressor and fan, drawing 4.1 kWh over 24 hours of continuous operation. This load is typical for a medium-sized commercial refrigerator and fits a standard single-phase circuit found in most professional kitchens and retail spaces. The 125 kg weight means the unit is moved on a trolley or with two people, and the adjustable feet level it once in place.

Cleaning involves wiping the interior and shelves with a damp cloth and mild detergent, and occasionally checking the fan and evaporator for dust build-up. The automatic defrost system reduces the need for manual defrosting, but the condensate tray should be emptied periodically to prevent overflow.
