Confectionery showcase INNOVA 1400mm, H-1100, Temperature range +2ºC/+15ºC
A refrigerated confectionery showcase keeps delicate pastries, cakes and desserts at a precise chilled temperature while presenting them under bright, even light. The cooling system circulates cold air across the interior, maintaining a steady climate that preserves texture and freshness without freezing. This method relies on a refrigerant that absorbs heat from the food and releases it outside the cabinet, ensuring the display remains inviting and the products stay in peak condition throughout service hours.
The INNOVA 140.110 from IGLOO introduces a retractable front glass panel that slides smoothly out of the way, allowing staff to reach every shelf without stretching or climbing. The operator unlocks the electromagnetic catch, pulls the glass forward and down, then loads or rearranges the confectionery. Once the glass is returned to its closed position, the lock re-engages automatically, sealing the cabinet and restoring the chilled environment. Inside, adjustable glass shelves can be tilted or spaced to suit different product heights, while a bottom stainless-steel shelf provides a sturdy base for heavier items.
Setting the desired temperature is done via an electronic controller with a digital display mounted on the front frame. The same panel shows the current reading and triggers an alarm if the condenser becomes blocked or the fan stops, alerting the team before the showcase drifts out of range. LED strips along the top and front frame illuminate the interior, casting a soft, shadow-free glow that highlights colours and details without generating extra heat.
The cabinet measures 1400 mm wide, 850 mm deep and 1100 mm high, giving a generous footprint that fits standard worktop depths while leaving room for adjacent modules. A 230 V, 50 Hz supply powers the cooling aggregate and lighting, drawing 11.2 kWh over a 24-hour period under typical kitchen conditions. The refrigerant R290 is a hydrocarbon with low environmental impact, chosen for its efficiency in small to medium refrigeration units.
Externally, the showcase combines coated steel side panels, a stainless-steel kick plinth and wooden trim in a choice of finishes from the IGLOO pattern book. The front and side glass panels are double-glazed with argon filling and a black silkscreen border, reducing condensation and improving insulation. Removable panels simplify maintenance, while the automatic defrost cycle and condenser vapourisation keep the system running without manual intervention.
Cleaning involves wiping the glass shelves and stainless-steel surfaces with a mild detergent, then drying to prevent water marks. The wooden worktop and frame can be cleaned with a damp cloth and a wood-safe cleaner, avoiding abrasives that could damage the finish. The kick plinth and bottom shelf are designed to be lifted out for deeper cleaning, ensuring hygiene standards are met without dismantling the entire unit.
The INNOVA 140.110 can be linked to other INNOVA showcases to form a continuous display line, or used as a standalone module. Different colour options for the wooden elements, frame and side panels allow the unit to match existing kitchen decor or brand colours.
