IGLOO INNOVA 70.140 Confectionery Showcase with Retractable Glass

A refrigerated confectionery showcase keeps delicate pastries, cakes and desserts at a precise chill that preserves texture and freshness without freezing. The unit draws heat from the interior with a cooling aggregate that circulates refrigerant through evaporator coils. As the refrigerant absorbs heat, it changes from liquid to gas and is then compressed and condensed outside the cabinet, releasing the heat into the kitchen. This cycle repeats continuously, maintaining the set temperature while the showcase remains sealed and lit, so the display stays clear and inviting throughout service.

The INNOVA 70.140 opens with a retractable front glass panel that slides smoothly on guides and locks magnetically when closed. The operator loads the shelves from the rear through hinged doors, then sets the electronic controller to the desired temperature between +2 °C and +15 °C. Once the unit reaches the set point, the dynamic cooling system circulates chilled air evenly across every shelf, preventing hot spots and ensuring consistent conditions. An automatic defrost programme periodically melts any frost on the evaporator, draining the water away without manual intervention. LED strips along the top and front frame illuminate the interior, highlighting colours and textures while keeping heat output low.

The cabinet is built on a coated-steel housing with a stainless-steel kick plinth and a wooden top worktop available in several finishes. Inside, a stainless-steel bottom shelf and adjustable glass shelves rest on a painted internal frame, allowing the operator to tailor the display to different product heights. External glass panels are double-glazed with argon filling and a black silkscreen border, reducing condensation and improving insulation. The condenser is mounted at the base and automatically evaporates any moisture, while an alarm alerts staff to fan failure or blockage.

A 230 V, 50 Hz supply powers the cooling aggregate and lighting, drawing approximately 4.1 kWh over 24 hours of continuous operation. The footprint of 700 mm width, 850 mm depth and 1400 mm height fits against a wall or can be combined with additional INNOVA modules to create a longer run. Removable side panels allow side-by-side installation without gaps, and the choice of door-opening direction on the hinged rear doors adapts to the kitchen layout.

Cleaning involves wiping the glass and stainless-steel surfaces with a mild detergent, adjusting or removing the glass shelves for thorough access, and vacuuming the condenser coils at the base to maintain airflow. The wooden top and painted frame should be cleaned with a damp cloth and dried immediately to prevent water damage. Different colours for the external wood, internal frame and housing steel are selected from the IGLOO pattern book, allowing the showcase to match the kitchen décor.
