A refrigerated confectionery showcase that turns supermarket aisles into impulse display islands. The LUNA 1930 mm model stands low enough to invite browsing while keeping chilled air sealed inside a curved glass front. No external refrigeration unit is needed; the cooling aggregate is built into the base, freeing up floor space and simplifying installation in smaller retail formats.

Refrigeration in this type of cabinet relies on a dynamic, ventilated system. A fan circulates chilled air evenly across every shelf, preventing warm spots and maintaining a steady temperature band between +2 °C and +10 °C. The refrigerant, R290, is a hydrocarbon chosen for its low environmental impact and efficient heat transfer. An automatic defrost cycle melts any ice build-up without manual intervention, and the melted water is evaporated by the condenser, eliminating the need for drainage pipes.

LED lighting is integrated above the top shelf and duplicated on each individual shelf, ensuring that every product is brightly lit from front to back. The colour of the lighting can be set to white, confectionery or meat tones, allowing the display to match the type of goods on sale. A night roller blind slides down to cover the glass when the shop closes, reducing energy use and protecting the contents.

Operation begins by loading the shelves with chilled products. The electronic temperature controller, with its digital display, is set to the desired value within the +2 °C to +10 °C range. Once the cabinet is plugged into a 230 V, 50 Hz supply, the cooling aggregate starts automatically. The controller monitors the internal temperature and adjusts the fan speed and compressor cycle to maintain the set point. If the condenser becomes clogged or the fan fails, an audible alarm sounds to alert staff.

The cabinet is constructed from ecological polyurethane foam sandwiched between inner and outer panels, providing insulation without harmful gases. The side glass panels are silk-screened in black, white or grey RAL 7042, and the price-stripe channels can be matched to the same colour scheme. The overall footprint of 1930 mm by 660 mm, plus a 10 mm tolerance, fits neatly against a wall or can be linked to other LUNA units to form a free-standing display island.

Cleaning involves wiping the glass front and side panels with a mild detergent, while the night blind can be removed for separate cleaning. The LED strips are sealed and require no maintenance beyond occasional dusting. The condenser coil should be vacuumed periodically to prevent dust accumulation, which would reduce cooling efficiency.
