IGLOO LUZON 1.56 Remote Cold Showcase for Self-Service Display

A remote cold showcase keeps perishable food chilled while presenting it to customers under bright, even light. The refrigeration unit sits away from the display case, drawing heat from the air inside through a closed loop of refrigerant. This separation cuts noise and vibration at the point of sale, so the food stays still and the shop remains quiet. Cold air settles gently over the products, maintaining a steady temperature without the blast of a fan that could dry or discolour delicate items like smoked salmon or soft cheese.

The LUZON 1.56 Remote is built for self-service: customers lift the front glass and reach in, so the interior is organised for easy access. The operator loads the display area from the top, arranging products on the stainless-steel shelves, then sets the electronic regulator to the desired temperature between +1 °C and +10 °C. Once the unit is running, the automatic defrost cycle keeps the evaporator clear without manual intervention. The digital display shows the current temperature, letting staff monitor conditions at a glance.

Construction is modular: the case is assembled from anodised aluminium profiles in gold or silver, with white-coated steel cladding on the service side and optional coloured front panels. Internal and external corner pieces allow the showcase to be linked into continuous runs that follow the shape of the shop floor. The work surface and display area are stainless steel, while the storage chamber behind is finished in white-coated steel with a hinged rear door for restocking. Insulation is ecological polyurethane foam, and the LED lamp—available in white, pastry or meat-optimised deep pink—illuminates the products without adding heat.

The 230 V, 50 Hz supply connects to a standard single-phase circuit, the same as most commercial refrigeration. The footprint of 1563 mm by 1180 mm plus a 10 mm overhang gives a compact base that fits between counters or against a wall, while the 1230 mm height keeps the display at eye level for customers. The static cooling system and remote refrigeration unit mean the showcase itself has no moving parts at the point of sale, reducing maintenance to cleaning and occasional lamp checks.

Cleaning follows from the materials: the stainless-steel work surface and display area wipe clean with a damp cloth, while the white-coated steel storage chamber can be washed with mild detergent. The hinged rear door allows full access for deeper cleaning, and the LED lamp is sealed against moisture. The anodised aluminium profiles resist fingerprints and are easily polished.

Variants include optional coloured front panels and LED lamp colours, chosen from the IGLOO pattern book. The showcase is designed to link with other LUZON units, allowing continuous runs of any length.
