MICHAL Bread Rack 1530 mm
A freestanding bread display rack organises large quantities of baked goods in full view of customers while keeping the worktop clear for service. The unit stands on a base cabinet with sliding doors, providing hidden storage for trays, packaging or cleaning supplies. A granite countertop at waist height gives a stable surface for slicing, wrapping or arranging fresh loaves. Above, angled shelves hold bread in single or double rows, each shelf tilted slightly so the front edge is lower than the back. This tilt ensures the loaves face forward and do not slide off. LED lamps mounted beneath each shelf cast even light across the entire display, eliminating shadows and highlighting crust colour and texture. A top mirror angled above the highest shelf reflects the display downward, making every shelf visible from the shop floor without the need for customers to bend or stretch.
The operator begins by sliding open the base doors and loading the lower storage with trays or supplies. The granite countertop is then used to stage the day's first batch of bread. Each loaf is placed on the shelves, starting from the back and working forward so the newest stock is always behind the older. The LED lamps are switched on, and the top mirror is adjusted to the best angle for the shop layout. Throughout service, the operator replenishes the shelves from the back, maintaining a full display without disturbing the front rows. The sliding doors keep the base tidy and prevent dust from settling on stored items.
The frame and shelves are constructed from aluminium profiles with either silver or gold decorative inserts, chosen to match the shop's colour scheme. The granite countertop is a single slab, resistant to scratches and heat. Each shelf is a flat aluminium panel with a raised lip at the front to prevent loaves from rolling off. The LED lamps are fixed beneath the shelves, drawing low power and producing little heat. The top mirror is a sheet of polished aluminium with a protective film that can be peeled off after installation.
The overall footprint of 1530 mm by 580 mm fits behind most bakery counters, leaving enough aisle space for staff to move. The height of 2230 mm plus a 10 mm clearance allows the unit to stand beneath standard retail ceilings without scraping. The weight of the aluminium frame keeps the rack stable on level floors, while the granite countertop adds ballast and prevents tipping. The sliding doors run on quiet nylon rollers, reducing noise in the shop.
Cleaning involves wiping the aluminium shelves and frame with a damp cloth and a mild detergent, avoiding abrasive pads that could scratch the finish. The granite countertop is cleaned with a stone-safe cleaner to preserve its surface. The LED lamps are dusted with a soft brush, and the top mirror is wiped with a microfibre cloth to prevent streaks. The base cabinet is emptied and wiped down weekly to remove crumbs and spills.
The MICHAL 1.6 is available with either silver or gold aluminium inserts, allowing the display to coordinate with existing shop fittings. The unit is catalogued under bakery display equipment and is designed for large bakeries, grocery stores and hypermarket bakery counters.
