MICHAL Bread Rack 2445 mm
A static display rack organises baked goods in a continuous line so customers can see every loaf, roll or cake without reaching or bending. The shelves are fixed at a slight incline, and a mirror above reflects the top crusts, creating a single unbroken display that draws the eye along the full length of the unit. LED lamps mounted under each shelf cast even, cool light across the products, preventing shadows and keeping colours true for accurate presentation.
The operator loads the shelves from the rear, sliding items forward so the newest stock stays at the back and the oldest at the front. A granite worktop at waist height provides a stable surface for slicing, wrapping or arranging additional items. Below, a base cupboard with sliding doors stores trays, packaging or cleaning supplies, keeping the work area uncluttered. The angled top mirror is fixed in place, while the shelves themselves are bolted to the aluminium frame, ensuring the entire unit remains rigid under daily use.
The frame is constructed from aluminium profiles with silver or gold decorative inserts, combining light weight with strength. A granite countertop resists scratches, heat and moisture, and the sliding doors run on quiet nylon rollers. Each LED lamp is housed in a sealed aluminium channel, protecting it from dust and accidental knocks.
The controls consist of individual on-off switches for each LED lamp, allowing the operator to illuminate only the shelves in use. The granite worktop and mirror require no adjustment, and the sliding doors open and close without tools.
A footprint of 2445 mm by 580 mm fits into a long, narrow space typical of bakery counters in hypermarkets and large grocery stores. The height of 2230 mm places the top shelf within easy reach of most adults, while the mirror above ensures the full display remains visible from a distance. The unit's weight, distributed across four adjustable feet, keeps it stable without permanent floor fixing.
Cleaning involves wiping the aluminium frame and granite worktop with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The LED lamps are dusted with a soft brush, and the sliding doors are removed periodically to clean the tracks. The mirror is cleaned with a glass cleaner applied to a microfibre cloth to avoid streaks.
The MICHAL 2.5 is available with either silver or gold aluminium inserts, allowing the unit to match existing shop fittings. It is categorised as bakery display equipment in the IGLOO catalogue.
