IGLOO MONIKA 1.0 Cold Showcase for Professional Display

A static-cooled cold showcase keeps chilled goods visible while maintaining safe storage temperatures. The internal cooling unit circulates refrigerant through evaporator coils inside the unit. As the refrigerant absorbs heat from the air, the temperature inside the showcase drops, creating a consistent cold zone. Static cooling relies on natural air convection rather than forced airflow, which prevents dehydration of delicate items like pastries or fresh salads. The curved front glass allows customers to view products clearly without opening the unit, reducing temperature fluctuations and energy use.

To operate the MONIKA 1.0, the user sets the desired temperature on the electronic controller, which displays the current reading digitally. The automatic defrost system periodically melts frost build-up on the evaporator, draining condensate into an external container. LED lighting illuminates the stainless steel display area, with colour options to enhance the presentation of confectionery, meats, or dairy products. The hinged back doors of the storage chamber provide access for restocking, while the stainless steel worktop offers additional prep space.

The body is constructed from white coated sheet metal with a service-side base flashing, supported by anodised aluminium profiles in gold or silver. Ecological polyurethane foam insulation fills the walls, maintaining temperature stability. The curved front glass is openable for cleaning, and the sides are available in insulated plastic or glass with selectable colours. A bumper in a matching shade protects the unit from impacts in busy kitchens.

The 230 V power requirement connects to a standard single-phase circuit, while the 4.1 kWh/24h energy consumption reflects its continuous operation in a professional setting. At 110 kg, the showcase is stable but can be moved with a trolley. The 1070 mm width fits standard worktop depths, leaving space for customer flow in front of the unit. The +1 °C to +10 °C temperature range suits chilled ready-to-eat foods, dairy, and desserts, but excludes frozen goods.

Cleaning involves wiping the stainless steel surfaces with a mild detergent, while the curved glass can be opened for thorough access. The condenser outlet requires periodic emptying, and the alarm system alerts staff to fan failures or excessive condenser impurities. The LED lamps are long-lasting but can be replaced if needed. The showcase is available with optional colour finishes for the body, bumper, and lighting to match kitchen aesthetics.
