Cold showcase MONIKA PLUG-IN 1710 mm. Temperature range +1ºC/+10ºC
A static-cooled showcase keeps chilled products visible without a fan circulating air. The cooling aggregate draws heat from the storage chamber through the back wall, letting cold air settle naturally. This method avoids drying food surfaces and prevents cross-contamination between items.
To use the showcase, the operator loads the stainless-steel exposition area and the white-coated storage chamber behind the hinged back doors. The electronic controller is set to the desired temperature between +1 °C and +10 °C; the digital display shows the current reading. The LED lamp is switched on to illuminate the display in white, confectionery or pink. The automatic defrost cycle runs without intervention, melting any frost that forms on the cooling surfaces. A small container collects the condensate from the condenser outlet. If the condenser becomes clogged or the fan fails, an alarm sounds.
The body is constructed from white-coated sheet metal with a service-side base flashing. Ecological polyurethane foam fills the walls for insulation. Anodised aluminium profiles in gold or silver frame the glass panels, and a coloured bumper protects the front edge. The worktop is stainless steel, while the sides are insulated plastic with glass inserts that can be matched to the kitchen colour scheme.
The 230 V, 50 Hz supply matches a standard single-phase circuit found in most professional kitchens. The 6.3 kWh consumption over 24 hours reflects the load of maintaining chilled temperatures continuously. The footprint of 1710 mm long, 830 mm wide and 1220 mm high, plus 10 mm clearance, determines the space needed on the floor or against a wall. The static cooling system and absence of moving air vents simplify cleaning, as there are no fan grilles to remove or ducts to scrub.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless-steel worktop and exposition area with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The curved front glass is cleaned inside and out, while the hinged back doors allow access to the storage chamber. The condenser outlet container is emptied regularly to prevent overflow. The LED lamp is replaced when necessary, and the anodised aluminium profiles are wiped down to maintain their finish.
The MONIKA 1.7 is available with a choice of LED lamp colours (white, confectionery or pink), anodised aluminium profiles (gold or silver), bumper colours and side panel colours to coordinate with the kitchen design.
