Cold showcase MONIKA PLUG-IN 2050 mm. Temperature range +1ºC/+10ºC
A refrigerated showcase keeps chilled food visible and safe by circulating cold air around an insulated chamber. Static cooling draws heat from the stored items without a fan, relying on natural convection to maintain an even temperature. This method reduces moving parts, lowering maintenance needs while still preserving freshness for salads, desserts, sandwiches and other ready-to-serve items that must stay between +1 °C and +10 °C.
The operator loads the storage chamber through hinged back doors, then arranges the display items on the stainless-steel exposition shelf. The curved front glass swings open for easy access, while the worktop above provides a stable surface for plating or labelling. An electronic controller with digital display sets the target temperature; once reached, the unit holds it automatically. If the condenser becomes blocked or the fan fails, an alarm sounds to alert staff. Automatic defrost cycles prevent ice build-up, and the condenser outlet directs meltwater to a container for simple disposal.
The body is constructed from white coated sheet metal with a service-side base flashing. Insulation is ecological polyurethane foam, and the sides are insulated plastic panels with glass inserts, both available in selectable colours. Anodised aluminium profiles in gold or silver frame the unit, and a bumper in matching or contrasting colours protects the front. LED lighting inside the showcase can be set to white, confectionery or pink to enhance the appearance of displayed items.
A power rating of 6.8 kWh per 24 hours reflects the energy needed to maintain chilled temperatures in a busy kitchen environment. The 230 V, 50 Hz supply matches standard UK commercial circuits, allowing straightforward installation. The footprint of 2050 mm long, 830 mm wide and 1220 mm high, plus a 10 mm tolerance, determines the space required on the floor or against a wall.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless-steel worktop and exposition area with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The hinged back doors and curved front glass can be removed for thorough cleaning, while the condenser outlet container should be emptied regularly to prevent overflow. The LED lamps are long-lasting but can be replaced if needed.
The MONIKA 2.05 is available with customisable colour options for the body, bumper, sides and LED lighting, allowing the unit to match existing kitchen décor or branding.
