Cold showcase PICO PLUG-IN 1500 mm. Temperature range +1ºC/+10ºC
A refrigerated display case keeps perishable goods visible and chilled without drying them out. Static cooling circulates cold air gently around the cabinet, maintaining steady humidity so meats, cheeses and fish stay fresh longer than they would under forced-air systems. The evaporator coil draws heat from the air inside, and the refrigerant carries it away to the condenser at the back. As the refrigerant warms, it turns back into a gas and releases the heat outside the unit, completing the cycle without moving parts inside the cabinet itself.
The PICO 1.42 is built for self-service: customers lift the straight front glass to reach the products. The operator loads the storage chamber through hinged back doors, then sets the electronic controller to the desired temperature between +1 °C and +10 °C. The digital display shows the current reading, and an alarm sounds if the condenser becomes blocked or the fan fails. Automatic defrost prevents ice build-up on the coil, and the melted water drains into a container at the rear.
The exterior is white coated sheet metal with a service-side base flashing, while the worktop and exposition area are stainless steel for easy cleaning. Anodised aluminium profiles in gold or silver frame the glass sides, and the LED lamp—available in white, confectionery or pink—illuminates the products without adding heat. Insulated plastic sides and a coloured bumper protect the unit and allow it to be linked with other PICO cases to form continuous lines.
A 230 V, 50 Hz supply powers the internal cooling aggregate, drawing 4.1 kWh over 24 hours. The footprint of 1500 mm by 860 mm fits standard worktop depths, and the 1220 mm height keeps products at eye level. The static cooling system and sealed insulation reduce noise and energy use, while the hinged back doors and removable glass front simplify daily upkeep.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth, brushing the condenser coil monthly to prevent dust build-up, and emptying the defrost container. The LED lamp can be replaced without tools, and the hinged back doors allow full access to the storage chamber for thorough sanitising.
Variants include gold or silver anodised profiles, white, confectionery or pink LED lighting, and a choice of bumper colours. The modular design accepts internal and external corner units, letting the showcase adapt to any shop layout.
