A refrigerated display case keeps perishable foods chilled while presenting them to customers through clear glass. The unit circulates cold air continuously, drawing heat away from the stored items and maintaining a steady temperature. This dynamic cooling system ensures even distribution of cold air, preventing warm spots and preserving freshness for meats, cheeses, fish and other delicate products. The refrigeration cycle relies on a cooling agent that absorbs heat inside the case and releases it outside, allowing the interior to stay within the set range without freezing the items on display.

The PICO DEEP 1.62 is designed for self-service sales, so the operator loads the products directly onto the stainless steel exposition area. The hinged back doors of the storage chamber allow easy access for restocking. Once loaded, the electronic temperature controller is set between +1 °C and +10 °C, depending on the items being displayed. The digital display shows the current temperature, and the automatic defrost function prevents ice build-up without manual intervention. LED lighting illuminates the products, with options for white, confectionery or pink tones to enhance presentation. The straight front glass pane can be slightly opened for cleaning or adjusting the display.

The case is constructed with a body of white coated sheet metal and anodised aluminium profiles in gold or silver. The worktop and exposition area are stainless steel, while the storage chamber is made of white coated steel. Insulated plastic sides and glass sides are available in different colours, and the bumper can also be selected to match the shop's decor. Ecological polyurethane foam provides insulation, and the condenser outlet directs excess moisture into a container. An alarm alerts staff to any issues with condenser cleanliness or fan operation.

The 230 V, 50 Hz power requirement means the unit plugs into a standard single-phase circuit, suitable for most commercial kitchens and retail spaces. The 5.1 kWh energy consumption over 24 hours reflects the load on the supply while maintaining the set temperature. The footprint of 1700 mm wide, 860 mm deep and 1220 mm high, plus a 10 mm tolerance, determines the space needed on the shop floor. The weight of the unit affects how it is moved and positioned, requiring a stable surface to support it.

Cleaning involves wiping down the stainless steel worktop and exposition area, as well as the glass front. The hinged back doors of the storage chamber allow access for cleaning the interior. The LED lighting and electronic controller require no regular maintenance beyond checking the digital display for temperature accuracy. The automatic defrost function reduces the need for manual defrosting, but the condenser outlet container should be emptied periodically to prevent overflow.
