IGLOO SAMOS DEEP NZ90 Cold Showcase for Grocery Displays

A ventilated cold showcase keeps chilled goods visible while maintaining safe temperatures. A compressor circulates refrigerant through an evaporator coil inside the unit. Fans draw warm air from the display area over the coil, cooling it before returning it to the cabinet. This dynamic airflow prevents hot spots and ensures even chilling across every shelf, allowing produce, dairy or deli items to stay fresh without freezing. The process is continuous, balancing the heat entering through the glass front and the lights with the cooling power of the refrigerant, so the internal temperature remains steady between +1 °C and +10 °C.

To use the SAMOS DEEP NZ90, position the unit on a level floor and plug it into a 230 V single-phase supply. Load the stainless steel storage chamber through the hinged back doors, then arrange goods on the stainless steel exposition shelves. Set the electronic controller to the desired temperature; the digital display shows the current reading. The automatic defrost cycle runs without operator input, melting frost from the evaporator and draining condensate to an external container. At closing time, pull the night blind down over the glass front to reduce heat gain and energy use. The LED lamps remain on or off as chosen, casting white, confectionery or pink light across the display.

The body is constructed from white-coated sheet metal with a service-side base flashing. Front panels and base sheets are available in selectable colours. Insulation is ecological polyurethane foam. The worktop is 20 mm grey granite, and the internal frame and aluminium profiles are anodised in silver or gold. The straight side-hung front glass panel opens without telescopic shock absorbers, and the night blind is made of plexiglass. Bumpers and insulated plastic sides come in different colours, and glass sides can be matched to the interior.

The 230 V, 50 Hz supply draws a load of 4.6 kWh over 24 hours, suitable for a standard UK commercial circuit. The footprint of 1430 mm by 1230 mm fits most grocery aisles while providing a large display area. The temperature range of +1 °C to +10 °C is designed for chilled, not frozen, goods. The weight of the unit requires a solid floor and a trolley for moving.

Cleaning involves wiping the stainless steel interior and granite worktop with a mild detergent. The condenser outlet should be checked regularly to ensure the condensate container is empty. The electronic controller monitors fan operation and condenser cleanliness, triggering an alarm if either fails. The LED lamps are long-lasting but can be replaced through the service panel.
