IGLOO SANTIAGO 1.4S Refrigerated Display Case for Fresh Foods

A refrigerated display case keeps fresh foods visible and chilled without drying them out. The SANTIago 1.4S uses gravity cooling: cold air, heavier than warm air, sinks from the top evaporator coil and spreads across the shelves. This gentle circulation prevents dehydration and preserves colour and texture in meat, cheese and fish.

The operator loads the shelves with product, sets the thermostat between +1 °C and +10 °C, and switches on the LED lighting. The unit maintains temperature automatically, defrosts the coil on a timer, and evaporates the condensate so no manual draining is needed. The transparent front lets customers view the goods while the stainless-steel worktop and granite option provide a sturdy preparation surface.

The case is built from stainless steel inside and out, with aluminium profiles framing the glass. High-density foam insulation reduces heat gain, and adjustable legs level the unit on uneven floors. LED lamps in white, confectionery or pink illuminate the contents, while decorative ribbons in RAL colours let the display match the shop's branding.

A 230 V, 50 Hz supply powers the compressor and lighting. The 5.2 kWh daily energy use reflects the insulation and gravity cooling, keeping running costs low. The 1370 mm width, 1190 mm depth and 1225 mm height create a footprint that fits standard worktop layouts, and the external connection option allows multiple cases to be linked in a continuous line.

Cleaning follows the stainless-steel surfaces: shelves, storage compartments and worktop are wiped with mild detergent and dried to prevent water marks. The LED lamps and aluminium profiles need only dusting, while the thermostat and defrost cycle require no routine maintenance.

Variants include a stainless-steel or grey granite worktop, and the LED lighting colour can be chosen at order. The case is designed for fresh foods only and is not suitable for frozen goods.
