Cold showcase SANTIAGO REMOTE 1290 mm. Temperature range +1ºC/+10ºC
A refrigerated display case keeps perishable food chilled while presenting it to customers through clear glass. The Santiago 1.4S Remote uses static cooling: air circulates naturally inside the cabinet, drawing heat away from the stored items without a fan. This method avoids drying the surface of meat, cheese or fish, preserving colour and texture for longer than forced-air systems. The refrigerant, R290, absorbs heat from the interior and releases it outside via a separate remote condensing unit, keeping the display area quiet and vibration-free.
To use the showcase, the operator loads the stainless-steel storage chamber through hinged back doors. Products are arranged on the stainless-steel exposition shelf under the curved front glass. The telescopic lifting system allows the glass to rise smoothly for cleaning or restocking. An electronic temperature controller with digital display sets the range between +1 °C and +10 °C, maintaining the chosen level automatically. LED lamps—available in white, confectionery or deep-pink “meaty” tones—illuminate the contents, while night blinds made of plexiglass slide down to cover the glass when the shop is closed, reducing energy use and protecting the stock.
The cabinet is built on a white-coated sheet-metal frame with a granite-grey worktop 20 mm thick. Internal aluminium profiles, anodised in silver or gold, support the glass and structure. The base flashing and front panels are colour-coated, allowing the unit to match shop décor. A bumper in a contrasting shade protects the front edge. The entire body is insulated with ecological polyurethane foam, minimising heat transfer and stabilising internal temperature. Automatic defrost prevents ice build-up, ensuring consistent cooling performance.
With external dimensions of 1290 mm wide, 1190 mm deep and 1225 mm high (plus 10 mm tolerance), the showcase fits into standardised kitchen layouts. It operates on a 230 V, 50 Hz supply, drawing power only for lighting and the electronic controller; the remote condensing unit handles the refrigeration load elsewhere. The absence of side panels allows multiple units to be joined end-to-end, creating continuous display lines tailored to the room's shape.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless-steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent, lifting the front glass to reach the interior, and sliding the night blinds out for separate washing. The worktop and bumper can be cleaned in place, while the hinged back doors provide access to the storage chamber for deeper cleaning.
The Santiago 1.4S Remote is part of the IGLOO Santiago series, which offers customisable colours for front panels, bumpers and LED lighting. The unit is categorised under refrigerated display cases for fresh food.
