Cold showcase SANTIAGO DEEP PLUG-IN 1040 mm. Temperature range +1ºC/+10ºC
A refrigerated display case keeps perishable food at a steady low temperature while presenting it through clear glass to customers. The SANTIAGO DEEP 1.1WG draws warm air from the shop floor, passes it over a cooling coil filled with refrigerant, and blows the chilled air back into the cabinet. A fan spreads the cold air evenly across every shelf, preventing hot spots and keeping every item at the same safe temperature. The refrigerant absorbs heat from the air and carries it to an outdoor condenser, where it is released into the atmosphere. This continuous cycle maintains the set temperature without freezing the food or drying it out.
To use the showcase, the operator loads the stainless-steel shelves and storage chamber with pre-chilled products. The electronic controller is set to the desired temperature between 1 °C and 10 °C, and the unit starts automatically. The digital display shows the current temperature inside the cabinet. During opening hours, the LED lighting illuminates the food; at night, the plexiglass blinds slide down to cover the glass, reducing energy loss. The automatic defrost programme melts any ice that forms on the coil, and the water drains into a container beneath the unit.
The body is built from white-coated sheet metal with a grey granite worktop 20 mm thick. The front and side panels are finished in a colour of choice, and the anodised aluminium profiles around the glass are available in silver or gold. The glass lifts on a telescopic system for easy cleaning, and the hinged rear door gives access to the storage chamber. Insulated plastic side walls and glass side panels can be ordered in different colours to match the shop décor.
A 230 V, 50 Hz supply powers the internal cooling aggregate and the fan. The 5.1 kWh consumption over 24 hours reflects the work needed to hold the temperature in a busy shop. The 145 kg weight means the unit is moved on a trolley or pallet jack, and the 1040 mm width allows it to fit through standard doorways. The 1190 mm depth and 1225 mm height give ample display space without crowding the shop floor.
Cleaning starts with switching off the power and removing the food. The stainless-steel shelves and storage chamber wipe clean with a damp cloth. The glass and plexiglass blinds are washed with mild detergent, and the telescopic mechanism is checked for smooth operation. The condenser coil should be vacuumed periodically to remove dust, and the alarm system tested to ensure it warns of fan failure or blockage.
The SANTIAGO DEEP 1.1WG is part of the SANTIAGO series, which can be linked side by side or at corners to form a continuous display line. Each unit is customised with the chosen colour scheme, LED lighting and bumper finish. The catalogue places it in the refrigerated showcases section, under modular commercial refrigeration.
