Cold showcase SANTIAGO DEEP REMOTE 3750 mm. Temperature range +1ºC/+10ºC
A refrigerated display case keeps perishable food at a steady low temperature while presenting it through clear glass to customers. Instead of a built-in compressor, this unit connects to an external refrigeration plant that pumps chilled refrigerant through the evaporator coils inside the cabinet. The coils absorb heat from the air, and a fan circulates the cooled air evenly across the shelves and around the products. Because the compressor and condenser are located remotely, the showcase itself runs quietly and leaves more usable space in the sales area. The refrigerant circulates in a closed loop, condensing back to liquid in the remote unit and returning to the showcase to repeat the cycle, maintaining the set temperature without interruption.
The operator loads the stainless-steel shelves with pre-chilled products, ensuring they are arranged within the lit display area. The electronic controller is set to the desired temperature between 1 °C and 10 °C, and the digital display confirms the setting. Once powered, the remote refrigeration unit starts automatically, and the internal fan distributes cold air across the shelves. During opening hours, the telescopic glass front can be lifted to restock or rearrange items. At closing, the plexiglass night blind is drawn down to reduce energy loss and protect the contents. The automatic defrost cycle prevents ice build-up on the evaporator, running at intervals the controller determines without manual intervention.
The case is constructed with a white-coated sheet-metal body and a grey granite worktop 20 mm thick. Insulated plastic side walls are fitted with glass panels, and the internal frame uses anodised aluminium profiles in either silver or gold. The front base and front panel are available in a choice of colours, as are the bumper and side panels. LED lighting illuminates the display area, with the colour selectable to match the shop's branding. Stainless-steel surfaces line both the display and storage compartments, and a hinged door at the rear provides access to the storage area.
The 230 V, 50 Hz power requirement means the unit connects to a standard single-phase circuit, suitable for most commercial premises. The overall footprint of 3750 mm by 1195 mm, plus 10 mm clearance, determines the floor space needed in the sales area. The temperature range of 1 °C to 10 °C allows safe storage of fresh meat, fish, cheese and other chilled products without freezing them. The remote refrigeration system reduces noise and heat output in the customer area, while the ventilated cooling ensures even temperatures throughout the cabinet.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless-steel shelves and interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent, avoiding abrasive cleaners that could scratch the surfaces. The glass front and side panels are cleaned with glass cleaner, and the granite worktop is wiped down with a food-safe sanitiser. The LED lighting and electronic controller require no regular maintenance beyond occasional dusting. The night blind should be cleaned with a soft cloth to prevent scratches, and the hinged rear door checked periodically to ensure it seals properly.
The Santiago Deep 3.75 m model is part of the Santiago Remote series, which offers customisable options for panel colours, LED lighting and internal finishes. The series is designed to allow multiple units to be joined together, with internal and external corners available to create continuous display lines tailored to the shop layout.
This refrigerated showcase is categorised under commercial refrigeration equipment for food retail, specifically remote-condensing display cases.
