IGLOO Showcase KING 1.3 AT Cold Display for Shops

This ventilated cold showcase keeps chilled goods visible while maintaining a steady temperature just above freezing. The unit draws warm air from the shop floor, passes it over an evaporator coil chilled by refrigerant, and circulates the cooled air evenly across every shelf. This dynamic cooling prevents hot spots and preserves produce, dairy or deli items at the correct temperature without drying them out. The refrigerant circulates through a sealed Hitachi compressor mounted at the back, removing heat from the cabinet and releasing it outside to keep the shop comfortable even when fully loaded.

To load the KING 1.3 AT, the operator raises the night roller blind, places goods on the six adjustable shelves and the lower base shelf, then sets the electronic controller to the desired temperature. The digital display shows the current reading, while an automatic defrost cycle melts any ice on the coil without manual intervention. A condensate pump collects the water and lifts it, so the unit can stand on any shop floor without a drain. If the condenser becomes clogged or the fan fails, an alarm sounds to alert staff.

The cabinet features a white-coated steel frame with 40 mm-thick insulated side panels filled with ecological polyurethane foam. The front bottom panel and interior shelves are also coated steel, available in various colours to match the shop's decor. The top advertising panel is backlit with LED lighting and can be fitted with coloured plexiglass, while the upper interior lighting uses fluorescent LEDs in white, confectionery or meat tones to enhance the display. Price stripes in matching colours attach to the shelves, and the unit can be linked in a row with other KING AT showcases to create a continuous run.

A 230 V single-phase supply powers the compressor, fans and lighting. The footprint fits against most shop walls, and the height allows tall items to be displayed without blocking the view. The night roller blind protects the goods overnight, reducing energy use and keeping the cabinet clean.

Cleaning involves wiping the coated steel shelves and panels with a damp cloth, removing the price stripes to clean behind them, and checking the condensate pump outlet for blockages. The LED lighting and fluorescent tubes are long-lasting and rarely need replacement.

The KING 1.3 AT is available with different exterior and interior colours, plexiglass shades for the top panel, and LED lighting tones to suit the type of goods displayed. It is a plug-in unit, ready to connect to a standard socket.
