IGLOO Showcase KING 1.6 AT Cold Display for Shops

A ventilated cold showcase keeps perishable goods visible and chilled without drying them out. The unit draws warm air over an evaporator coil, cools it, and circulates it evenly across every shelf. This dynamic cooling prevents hot spots and maintains a steady temperature throughout the display, preserving freshness while allowing customers to see and reach the products.

To use the KING 1.6 AT, position it on a level floor near a 230 V supply. Load the six adjustable shelves and the lower base shelf with goods, then set the electronic controller to the desired temperature between +1 °C and +10 °C. The showcase starts automatically, circulating chilled air and illuminating the interior with LED lighting. A night roller blind can be pulled down to cover the display when the shop is closed. The automatic defrost cycle and condensate pump keep the unit running without manual intervention, while an alarm sounds if the condenser becomes blocked or a fan fails.

The body is constructed from white-coated steel panels insulated with 40 mm of ecological polyurethane foam. The front bottom panel, interior shelves, and price strips are available in different colours to match shop branding. The top panel is open and backlit with LED lighting, with coloured plexiglass options for the illuminated advertising space. A Hitachi cooling aggregate is mounted at the back, freeing up shelf space for an additional row of products.

Controls include an electronic temperature controller with a digital display, allowing precise adjustment of the cooling range. The showcase can be connected in a row with others to create a continuous display. The 230 V, 50 Hz power supply suits standard UK commercial circuits, while the 12.6 kWh/24h energy rating indicates the load it places on the electrical system.

Cleaning involves wiping the coated steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The night roller blind should be rolled up and cleaned separately. The LED lighting and fluorescent interior lights require no maintenance beyond occasional dusting. The automatic condensate pump removes excess moisture, but the collection tray should be checked periodically to ensure it is not blocked.

The KING 1.6 AT is designed for small shops, supermarkets, and large stores, with a footprint of 1610 mm wide, 890 mm deep, and 2170 mm high. The adjustable shelves allow for different product sizes, and the illuminated top panel can be customised with branding or promotional graphics. The unit is supplied with a plug-in connection for easy installation.
