Cold showcase KING 2540 mm. Temperature range +1ºC/+10ºC
A refrigerated display case keeps perishable goods visible while maintaining safe holding temperatures. The unit circulates chilled air from a cooling aggregate at the rear, driven by a fan that pushes the air across the shelves and back through a grille. This dynamic cooling ensures even temperatures throughout the cabinet, preventing warm spots that could spoil food. The refrigeration cycle uses a compressor, condenser and evaporator to remove heat from the interior and expel it outside, keeping the showcase at the set temperature range without freezing the products on display.
The KING 2.5 AT is loaded from the front. The operator sets the electronic controller to the desired temperature between +1 °C and +10 °C, then places goods on the six adjustable shelves and the lower base shelf. The night roller blind is pulled down after closing to reduce energy use. An automatic defrost cycle runs at intervals, melting any ice that forms on the evaporator, and the condensate is pumped away by an automatic pump that can lift water up to 0.6 m. If the condenser becomes clogged or the fan fails, an alarm sounds to alert staff.
The cabinet is built with 40 mm thick insulated side panels of white coated steel, filled with ecological polyurethane foam. The front bottom panel and interior shelves are also coated steel, available in different colours. The top advertising panel is illuminated with LED lighting and can be fitted with coloured plexiglass. Upper interior lighting uses fluorescent LED tubes, with selectable colours for white goods, confectionery or meat. Price strips in matching colours complete the display.
The cooling aggregate is a plug-in Hitachi unit mounted at the back, requiring a 230 V, 50 Hz single-phase supply. The 20.6 kWh per 24 hours energy consumption indicates the load on the electrical circuit and the daily running cost. The 2540 mm width, 890 mm depth and 2170 mm height determine the floor space needed and the volume of goods that can be displayed. The thermostat is positioned in the back wall, allowing an extra row of shelves without reducing cooling efficiency.
Cleaning involves wiping the coated steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The night blind should be cleaned regularly to prevent dust build-up that could block airflow. The condenser and fan should be checked periodically for dust and debris, and the automatic condensate pump should be inspected to ensure it is not clogged.
The KING 2.5 AT is available in different colours for the front panel, interior shelves, price strips, plexiglass and LED lighting. Multiple showcases can be connected in a row to create a continuous display.
The product is listed in the professional refrigeration section of the catering equipment catalogue, under cold displays for shops and supermarkets.
