IGLOO Showcase RODOS 1.3 REMOTE for Chilled Display

A ventilated chilled showcase keeps perishable food at a steady low temperature while presenting it through clear glass to customers. The remote refrigeration unit draws heat from the air inside the cabinet and expels it outside, so the kitchen stays cooler and quieter. A fan circulates the chilled air evenly across every shelf, preventing warm spots and ensuring every item stays within the safe 2 to 8 °C range. The glass front and LED lighting create a bright, inviting display without adding heat, while the night blind reduces energy use when the shop is closed.

To use the showcase, the operator loads the adjustable coated-steel shelves with chilled products, sets the electronic regulator to the desired temperature, and switches on the LED lighting. The automatic defrost cycle runs without intervention, melting any ice that forms on the evaporator and draining the water away. The night blind is pulled down at closing time to insulate the cabinet, and the digital display confirms the internal temperature throughout.

The cabinet is built with environmentally friendly polyurethane foam insulation sandwiched between aluminium panels. The edges are insulated plastic, and the base, front panel and bumper can be ordered in a choice of colours. The upper panel houses LED lighting under organic glass, also available in different colours. Interior and display shelves are coated steel, and the price strips clip into place in matching or contrasting shades. Shelves adjust in height and angle to suit different products, and the bumper protects the glass from trolleys and baskets.

A 230 V, 50 Hz supply powers the remote unit and the internal fan, lighting and controls. The 1230 mm width, 830 mm depth and 2020 mm height give a large display area while fitting through standard doorways. The weight of the cabinet allows it to be moved on a sack trolley without dismantling. The temperature range of 2 to 8 °C is designed for fresh dairy, deli meats, salads and pre-packaged chilled foods, keeping them safe without freezing.

Cleaning involves wiping the coated-steel shelves and interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then drying to prevent water marks. The glass front is cleaned with glass cleaner, and the LED lighting and organic-glass panel are dusted with a soft cloth. The night blind should be rolled up and wiped down weekly, and the price strips removed and washed if they become soiled. The automatic defrost system eliminates the need for manual defrosting, but the drain outlet should be checked periodically to ensure it is clear.

The RODOS 1.3 REMOTE is available with a choice of colours for the base, front panel, bumper, LED lighting, organic glass, interior and shelves, allowing the display to match the shop's branding or decor. The remote refrigeration unit is supplied separately and must be installed by a qualified technician.
