IGLOO Showcase RODOS 1.6 REMOTE Refrigerated Display Unit

A refrigerated showcase that keeps chilled goods visible and accessible while maintaining a steady temperature between +2 °C and +8 °C. The cooling system is driven by an external condensing unit, which removes heat from the cabinet and expels it outside the workspace. Inside, a fan circulates cold air evenly across every shelf, preventing warm spots and ensuring consistent chilling without freezing. This dynamic cooling method allows the unit to recover quickly after the door is opened, keeping food safe and extending its display life.

The operator loads the shelves with products, adjusts the height and angle of each shelf to suit the items on display, and sets the desired temperature on the electronic regulator. The digital display shows the current temperature, and the automatic defrost cycle runs without intervention, melting frost from the evaporator and draining it away. Night blinds can be drawn to reduce energy use when the shop is closed, and LED lighting illuminates the interior, highlighting the goods while consuming minimal power.

The cabinet is built with an aluminium frame and insulated with environmentally friendly polyurethane foam. The edges are finished with coloured plastic profiles, and the base and front panel can be matched to the shop's colour scheme. The upper panel incorporates LED lighting behind organic glass, available in different colours to create the desired ambiance. Interior and display shelves are made of coated steel, also available in various colours, and each shelf can be repositioned or tilted to improve visibility. Price strips in matching colours hold labels, and a bumper protects the front from accidental knocks.

The 230 V, 50 Hz power supply connects to a standard single-phase circuit, suitable for most commercial kitchens and retail spaces. The footprint of 1530 mm wide by 830 mm deep fits against a wall or within a counter run, while the 2020 mm height allows full visibility of products from across the shop. The weight of the unit means it is moved on castors or with a pallet truck, and the remote condensing unit can be positioned up to several metres away, freeing up space near the display.

Cleaning involves wiping the coated steel shelves and interior with a damp cloth, removing dust from the LED lighting panels, and occasionally checking that the air vents are not blocked. The night blinds should be cleaned with a soft cloth to avoid scratching the surface. The electronic temperature regulator requires no regular maintenance beyond ensuring the display remains clear and legible.

The RODOS 1.6 REMOTE is available with a choice of colours for the plastic edges, base, front panel, upper lighting panel, interior and display shelves, price strips, and bumper. The remote condensing unit is sold separately and must be compatible with the refrigerant options listed: R404a, R507, R448 or R449.
