IGLOO Showcase TIMOR 1.3 – Professional Refrigerated Display

A refrigerated display cabinet keeps chilled goods visible while maintaining safe holding temperatures. The unit circulates cold air from a concealed evaporator coil through a fan, creating an even curtain of cool air across the glass front. This dynamic cooling prevents warm spots and condensation, so products stay fresh and the glass remains clear for uninterrupted viewing. The air is drawn back into the coil, re-cooled and sent out again in a continuous loop, balancing temperature and humidity without manual intervention.

To load the showcase, the operator slides the night roller blind up, opens the hinged glass front and places items on the coated-steel shelves. Each shelf can be raised, lowered or tilted to suit different product heights and angles. Once loaded, the glass is closed and the blind is pulled down to seal the cabinet overnight. The electronic controller is set to the desired holding temperature between +1 °C and +10 °C; the digital display shows the current reading and confirms the unit is running. An automatic defrost cycle periodically melts any ice on the coil, draining the water to an external container so the cooling remains efficient. If the condenser becomes blocked or the fan fails, an alarm sounds to alert staff.

The cabinet is built on a powder-painted steel base with insulated plastic side panels and a double-glazed front. Ecological polyurethane foam fills the walls, floor and roof for thermal efficiency. The top panel is illuminated by LED strips, and a second fluorescent LED strip inside the cabinet can be switched to white, confectionery or meat lighting to enhance product appearance. Price-stripe holders and a bumper in matching colours complete the exterior.

A 230 V, 50 Hz single-phase supply powers the compressor, fans and lighting. The 12.5 kWh daily energy consumption reflects the load of maintaining a steady +1 °C to +10 °C environment in a busy kitchen. The 220 kg weight requires two people to move the unit, and the 1330 mm length, 840 mm width and 2020 mm height determine the floor space and clearance needed for installation and door swing.

Cleaning involves wiping the coated-steel shelves and interior surfaces with a damp cloth, removing the shelves for deeper cleaning if necessary. The exterior steel panels and glass are cleaned with standard kitchen sanitiser. The condenser outlet should be checked regularly to ensure the drain container is empty and the coil remains free of dust.
