Cold showcase TIMOR 1630 mm. Temperature range +1ºC/+10ºC
A refrigerated display cabinet keeps chilled food and drink visible while maintaining safe temperatures. The unit draws heat from the interior with a refrigeration cycle: a compressor circulates refrigerant through evaporator coils, pulling warmth from the air inside. A fan then moves the cooled air across the shelves, ensuring even distribution and preventing warm spots. This dynamic cooling method allows the cabinet to hold products at precise temperatures without freezing them, making it suitable for ready-to-eat items, desserts, and beverages that must stay chilled but not icy.
To use the Showcase TIMOR 1.6, the operator first connects it to a 230 V single-phase supply. The electronic temperature controller is set to the desired range between +1 °C and +10 °C, and the unit is switched on. Products are loaded onto the coated steel shelves, which can be adjusted in height and angle to suit different items. The LED lighting—available in white, confectionery, or meat-specific colours—illuminates the interior, while the top panel's LED strip highlights the display from above. A night roller blind can be pulled down to cover the glass when the cabinet is not in use, reducing energy consumption. The automatic defrost system periodically melts any ice build-up on the evaporator, draining the water to a container at the rear.
The cabinet's construction combines durability with customisation. Insulated plastic sides and double-glazed panels retain cold air, while ecological polyurethane foam insulation minimises heat transfer. The base and front bottom panel are made of powder-coated steel, available in multiple colours to match kitchen aesthetics. Shelves, price strips, and bumpers also come in selectable colours, allowing the unit to blend with or stand out in its environment. The condenser outlet directs warm air away from the cabinet, and an alarm alerts staff if the condenser becomes clogged or the fan fails.
A 230 V, 50 Hz power requirement means the cabinet can be plugged into a standard UK commercial socket, though its 16.5 kWh per 24-hour energy consumption should be factored into kitchen planning. The unit's footprint—1630 mm wide, 840 mm deep, and 2020 mm tall—suits medium to large worktops or floor spaces, while its 235 kg weight ensures stability but may require two people or a trolley for positioning.
Cleaning involves wiping down the coated steel shelves and interior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The automatic defrost system reduces manual maintenance, though the condenser outlet should be checked periodically to ensure it is not blocked. The night roller blind can be removed for cleaning, and the LED lighting's long lifespan minimises the need for bulb replacements. The cabinet is available with different colour options for the sides, base, top panel, lighting, and accessories, allowing operators to tailor its appearance to their kitchen's design.
The Showcase TIMOR 1.6 is categorised as a plug-in refrigerated display cabinet, designed for front-of-house use where visibility and temperature control are critical.
