A refrigerated display case keeps chilled food visible and accessible while maintaining a set temperature range. The TOBAGO 3/1.25 REMOTE uses a remote refrigeration unit to circulate cooled air through a ventilated system, known as dynamic cooling. This method ensures even temperature distribution across all shelves, preventing hot spots and keeping products at a consistent chill. The cooling process relies on a refrigerant gas that absorbs heat from inside the case and releases it outside, cycling continuously to maintain the desired temperature between 1 °C and 10 °C. This range is suitable for dairy, deli items, prepared salads, and other perishables that require refrigeration but not freezing.

To operate the showcase, the external refrigeration unit is installed separately, allowing flexibility in placement and reducing noise and heat in the sales area. The case is loaded from the front, with sliding or open access depending on the version chosen. Adjustable display shelves allow the operator to arrange products at varying heights and angles, optimising visibility and presentation. LED lighting, positioned overhead, illuminates the contents without generating excess heat, preserving the internal temperature. A night roller blind can be drawn to cover the display when the shop is closed, reducing energy consumption and protecting the contents.

The TOBAGO 3/1.25 REMOTE is constructed with a white-coated steel base and front panel, available in alternative colours for customisation. The interior and display shelves are also coated steel, while the base plinth is stainless steel with a floor seal to prevent moisture ingress. Insulation is provided by ecological polyurethane foam, which improves energy efficiency by minimising heat transfer. A mechanical expansion valve regulates refrigerant flow, and a siphoned condensate drain with a 40 mm connecting pipe removes excess moisture from the cooling process. The refrigerant system is compatible with multiple gases, including R448 A, R449 A, R450 A, R407F, R404 A, and R507, allowing for flexibility in servicing and environmental compliance.

Controls include an electronic temperature regulator with a digital display, allowing the operator to set and monitor the internal temperature. The voltage requirement of 230 V at 50 Hz means the unit connects to a standard single-phase supply, typical in commercial settings. The footprint of 1250 mm width, 950 mm depth, and 1515 mm height provides ample display space while fitting within standard shop layouts. Adjustable shelves and price sheet holders in various colours allow for tailored merchandising, while the night blind and LED lighting support both operational efficiency and visual appeal.

Cleaning involves wiping down the coated steel interior and shelves, as well as the stainless steel plinth. The condensate drain should be checked periodically to ensure it remains clear, and the LED lighting may require occasional dusting. The external refrigeration unit will need separate maintenance, including filter checks and refrigerant level monitoring, though this is not part of the showcase itself.
