A ventilated cold showcase keeps chilled goods visible and accessible while maintaining a steady low temperature. A refrigeration unit circulates cold air through the cabinet, drawing heat away from the displayed items and expelling it at the rear or base. This dynamic cooling prevents warm spots and ensures even chilling across every shelf, preserving freshness without freezing. The process runs continuously, with an automatic defrost cycle that melts any frost build-up without interrupting the cooling, so the showcase remains operational around the clock.

The operator loads the shelves with pre-chilled products, then sets the electronic temperature regulator to the desired range between +1 °C and +10 °C. Once powered, the energy-saving EC fans distribute cold air evenly, while LED lighting illuminates the display area from above. The transparent front and powder-coated interior maximise visibility, allowing customers to view the products from any angle. If night blinds or doors are fitted, these are closed at the end of service to reduce energy consumption and protect the contents.

The cabinet is constructed with a powder-coated outer casing and a display area finished in the same durable coating. Adjustable shelves can be repositioned to accommodate different product heights, and the siphoned condensate drain collects and removes moisture automatically. Ecological polyurethane foam insulation minimises heat transfer, while the mechanical expansion valve regulates refrigerant flow to maintain consistent cooling performance. The lower outlets of the cooling circuit allow for remote installation of the refrigeration unit, freeing up space within the cabinet.

A 230 V, 50 Hz supply powers the unit, drawing 0.0229 kW to operate the fans, lighting, and refrigeration system. The footprint of 1250 mm wide, 720 mm deep, and 2150 mm high fits into most retail or foodservice layouts, and the weight allows for placement on standard shop floors. The temperature range of +1 °C to +10 °C suits fresh produce, dairy, deli items, and prepared foods that require chilling but not freezing.

Cleaning involves wiping the powder-coated surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent, avoiding abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish. The adjustable shelves can be removed for thorough cleaning, and the condensate drain should be checked periodically to ensure it remains clear. The LED lighting and EC fans require no regular maintenance beyond occasional dusting.

The VARIANT 1.25 70H REMOTE is available with sliding or hinged doors, or with night blinds, depending on the model selected. The refrigeration system is compatible with multiple refrigerants, including R448 A, R449 A, R452 A, R407F, R404 A, and R507 A, allowing for flexibility in installation and servicing.
