A refrigerated display case keeps chilled products visible while maintaining a steady low temperature. Cold air is drawn across an evaporator coil, removing heat from the interior, then circulated by fans to ensure even cooling throughout the cabinet. This dynamic airflow prevents warm spots and keeps items at the set temperature without freezing them, making it suitable for delicate foods like pastries, dairy and prepared salads.

The operator loads products onto the adjustable shelves, sets the desired temperature between +1 °C and +10 °C on the electronic regulator, and switches the unit on. LED lighting above the shelves illuminates the display area, highlighting the products without adding heat. The automatic defrost cycle runs outside of trading hours, melting any frost that has formed on the coil without raising the cabinet temperature. Condensation is evaporated automatically, eliminating the need for manual drainage. A sound signal alerts staff if the condenser requires cleaning, ensuring consistent performance.

The case is constructed with a powder-coated outer casing and side panels, providing a durable finish that resists scratches and corrosion. The display area is also powder-coated, maintaining a clean appearance under constant use. Ecological polyurethane foam insulation fills the walls, reducing energy loss and stabilising the internal temperature. Shelves are adjustable, allowing the operator to reconfigure the space for different product sizes. The upper internal LED lighting uses energy-efficient technology to illuminate the display without generating excess heat.

The electronic temperature regulator features a digital display, allowing precise control over the cooling environment. The unit operates on a 230 V, 50 Hz supply, drawing 1.709 kW of power, which is typical for a refrigerated cabinet of this size. The footprint of 1945 mm wide, 720 mm deep and 1990 mm high fits into most retail spaces, with a capacity of 70 litres providing ample room for a variety of chilled products.

Cleaning involves wiping down the powder-coated surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The condenser should be checked regularly for dust accumulation, as indicated by the sound signal, and cleaned to maintain efficiency. Shelves can be removed for thorough cleaning, and the automatic defrost and condensation systems reduce the need for manual maintenance.

The Showcase VARIANT 1.88 is available with sliding or hinged doors, or with night blinds, allowing the operator to choose the best configuration for their store layout and security needs. The R290 refrigerant used in this model is environmentally friendly, offering effective cooling with a lower impact on global warming.
