A remote cold display case keeps chilled food and drink visible while maintaining safe temperatures without an internal compressor. The external unit circulates refrigerant through the showcase, pulling heat from the interior and releasing it outside. A double air curtain flows across the open front, creating a barrier that keeps warm air out and cold air in. This method allows the case to stay open for customer access while minimising energy loss, making it suitable for high-traffic areas where frequent opening would otherwise raise temperatures. The operator loads the shelves with products, then sets the desired temperature band on the electronic regulator. The digital display shows the current temperature, and the system adjusts the cooling cycle automatically. Five adjustable shelves and a base shelf hold items at different heights, while LED overhead lighting illuminates the display. The lighting colour can be chosen to enhance the appearance of pastries or other products. A siphoned condensate drain collects moisture from the cooling process and directs it through a 40 mm connecting pipe to a suitable outlet. The showcase is constructed with a coated steel front lower panel, a coated aluminium profile front top panel, and a stainless steel base plinth. The interior and shelves are made of coated steel, available in various colours. The mechanical expansion valve controls refrigerant flow, and electronically switched fans reduce energy consumption. The entire unit is driven by the external remote unit, which houses the compressor and condenser. The electronic temperature regulator allows selection between three temperature ranges: 3M1 (-1 to +5 °C), 3M2 (-1 to +7 °C), and 3H1 (+1 to +10 °C). These ranges suit different types of chilled products, from delicate pastries to pre-packaged goods. The 230 V, 50 Hz power requirement means the unit connects to a standard single-phase circuit, while the 0.081 kW power rating indicates a low electrical load. The footprint of 1250 mm wide, 800 mm deep, and 2045 mm high allows the showcase to fit into most retail or food service layouts, with a height tolerance of ±15 mm for levelling. Cleaning involves wiping the coated steel and aluminium surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The adjustable shelves can be removed for thorough cleaning, and the condensate drain should be checked periodically to ensure it remains clear. The overhead LED strips cast an even glow across every shelf, keeping pastries crisp and vibrant under the pastry-white light or meats rich under the warm-pink tint. The VARIO 1.25 80 L is available in various colours for the front panels and shelves, allowing customisation to match store décor.
