A remote-cooled cold display case maintains chilled temperatures by circulating refrigerant from an external unit through concealed coils. The refrigerant absorbs heat from inside the cabinet, then releases it outside, keeping the interior at precise, stable temperatures without the noise or heat of an on-board compressor. This method allows the showcase to run quietly and efficiently, making it suitable for customer-facing areas where presentation and comfort matter.

The VARIO 2.50 100H REMOTE uses a dynamic double air curtain to create a continuous flow of chilled air across the front opening. This curtain forms a barrier that minimises warm air infiltration while maintaining consistent temperatures on every shelf. The external unit drives the cooling cycle, eliminating the need for an internal compressor and freeing up space inside the cabinet for more display area.

To set up the showcase, connect the cooling circuit to the external unit and plug the electrical supply into a 230 V circuit. Position the unit against a wall or within a counter layout, ensuring the condensate drain pipe is routed to a suitable outlet. Load the six adjustable shelves with chilled products, setting each shelf at the desired height and angle to highlight different items. The bottom base shelf provides additional display space or storage. Switch on the electronic temperature regulator and select the required temperature range: 3M1 for delicate items like pastries, 3M2 for general chilled goods, or 3H1 for slightly warmer displays. The digital display shows the current temperature, allowing precise monitoring. LED overhead lighting illuminates the contents, with options for white pastry or pink lighting to enhance product appearance.

The showcase is constructed with a coated steel front lower panel and a coated aluminium front top panel, both available in various colours to match store aesthetics. The base plinth is made of stainless steel for durability, while the interior and display shelves are coated steel, also available in different colours. The innovative top mounting profile system allows for flexible installation, accommodating different store layouts. A mechanical expansion valve regulates refrigerant flow, ensuring efficient cooling performance.

The electronic temperature regulator provides accurate control over the internal climate, while the siphoned condensate drain with a 40 mm connecting pipe prevents water build-up and simplifies maintenance. Energy-saving electronically switched fans reduce power consumption without compromising cooling efficiency.

The 2500 mm width, 1000 mm depth, and 2245 mm height create a substantial display footprint, suitable for high-traffic retail environments. The 0.137 kW power rating indicates a modest electrical load, compatible with standard commercial circuits. The voltage requirement of 230 V matches the UK mains supply, ensuring straightforward installation in most professional settings.

Cleaning involves wiping down the coated steel and aluminium surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent, avoiding abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish. The stainless steel base plinth can be cleaned with standard stainless steel cleaners to maintain its appearance. Shelves can be removed for thorough cleaning, and the condensate drain should be checked periodically to ensure it remains clear.
