IGLOO Showcase VARIO 3.13 80 L Remote Refrigerated Display

A refrigerated display case keeps chilled products visible and accessible while maintaining safe temperatures. The unit circulates cold air from an external compressor through a coil inside the cabinet. A fan draws warm air from the display area, passes it over the coil to remove heat, and returns it chilled. The process repeats continuously, creating a steady flow that keeps every shelf at the set temperature without frost or hot spots. A double air curtain across the front opening minimises warm-air infiltration, reducing energy use and preventing condensation on the glass.

The operator loads the shelves from the rear or side access, then sets the desired temperature band on the digital regulator. The electronic controller starts the external unit, which pumps refrigerant through the coil. Fans inside the case distribute the cold air evenly across all five adjustable shelves and the base shelf. LED overhead lighting switches on automatically, illuminating the products in white or pink tones to enhance presentation. Condensate drains through a siphoned pipe to prevent odours and blockages.

The VARIO 3.13 80 L showcase is built with a coated-steel lower front panel, a coated-aluminium top profile, and a stainless-steel base plinth. Interior and display shelves are coated steel, available in various colours. Shelves hang on adjustable brackets, allowing height and angle changes to suit different products. The remote design means the compressor and condenser sit outside the display area, reducing noise and heat inside the shop.

An electronic temperature regulator with a digital display lets the operator choose between three climate classes: 3M1 for fresh meat and dairy, 3M2 for slightly warmer items, and 3H1 for produce. The 230 V, 50 Hz supply connects to a standard single-phase circuit. The 0.177 kW power rating indicates a low electrical load, suitable for continuous operation. The 3125 mm width, 800 mm depth, and 2045 mm height provide a large display footprint while fitting through standard doorways.

Cleaning involves wiping the coated-steel and aluminium surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Shelves lift off for thorough washing. The siphoned condensate drain requires periodic checks to ensure the pipe remains clear. The external unit needs annual servicing to maintain refrigerant levels and fan efficiency.

The showcase is available in various colours for the front panels and shelves. Optional price sheets clip onto the top profile. The remote configuration allows the external unit to be placed up to several metres away, freeing space near the display.
