IGLOO Showcase VARIO 3 VE 3.75 Remote Cold Display Case

A remote-powered cold display case keeps perishable goods chilled while presenting them in clear view. Instead of an internal compressor, the refrigeration unit sits outside the cabinet, connected by refrigerant lines. This removes heat and noise from the sales area, leaving only the cooled air to circulate through the showcase. Dynamic cooling uses fans to push cold air evenly across every shelf, preventing warm spots and maintaining a steady temperature throughout the display volume.

The operator loads the shelves with produce, dairy or pre-packaged items, then sets the electronic regulator to the desired climate class—3M1 for delicate items, 3M2 for slightly higher tolerance, or 3H1 for ambient-stable goods. The digital display confirms the target temperature, while the mechanical expansion valve modulates refrigerant flow to match the load. LED overhead lighting illuminates the display in white for general use or pink to enhance the appearance of pastries and meats. Adjustable shelves accommodate different container heights, and a bottom base shelf provides additional storage or staging space.

Construction centres on coated steel for the interior, shelves and lower front panel, with a coated aluminium profile forming the top front edge. A stainless-steel base plinth protects the cabinet from floor-level knocks and simplifies cleaning. The siphoned condensate drain collects moisture from the cooling process and channels it away through a 40 mm connecting pipe, preventing puddles inside the unit. All cooling-circuit outlets are positioned at the top of the case for straightforward connection to the external refrigeration unit.

The 0.19 kW power rating reflects the energy drawn by the internal fans and control electronics, not the refrigeration load, which is handled by the remote unit. A 230 V, 50 Hz supply powers the fans, lighting and electronic regulator, matching the standard single-phase circuit found in most professional kitchens and retail spaces. The footprint of 3750 × 1150 mm allows the showcase to span a full worktop or counter, while the 2115 mm height ensures visibility from across the room without obstructing sightlines.

Cleaning involves wiping the coated steel and aluminium surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent, avoiding abrasives that could damage the finish. Shelves lift out for thorough washing, and the stainless-steel plinth can be scrubbed without risk of corrosion. The condensate drain should be checked periodically to ensure it remains clear of debris.

The VARIO 3 VE 3.75 is available in various colours for the front panels and shelves, allowing coordination with existing shop fittings. An optional price-sheet holder can be added to the front profile for product labelling.
