Confectionery display case JAMAIKA 700 mm PLUG-IN. Temperature range +5ºC/+15ºC
A warm showcase maintains confectionery at a gentle temperature above chilling, keeping cakes and cookies fresh without drying them. Inside, a refrigeration unit circulates air through vents, distributing warmth evenly across every shelf. The system balances humidity to prevent icing or condensation, so pastries stay moist and glazes remain glossy throughout service. A fan draws air over the cooling coil, then pushes it back into the cabinet, ensuring the same temperature from top to bottom and side to side. This dynamic cooling cycle also prevents hot spots that could spoil delicate fillings or toppings.
To use the showcase, plug it into a 230 V supply and switch on. Set the electronic controller to the desired temperature between +5 °C and +15 °C; the digital display confirms the setting. Load confectionery onto the three adjustable glass shelves, tilting them to catch the light and show off textures. The curved front glass swings open for easy access, while the sliding back doors allow restocking without disturbing the display. LED strips above each shelf illuminate the products in a warm confectionery colour, highlighting colours and details. Automatic defrost cycles melt any frost on the coil, and the condensate evaporates without manual draining.
The exterior is built from solid wood in a choice of finishes, with matching wooden or glass side panels that can be combined for a continuous run of showcases. Inside, the frame is painted silver, gold or black to contrast with the products. Three glass shelves rest on the frame, adjustable in height and angle, while a wooden shelf at the bottom provides extra storage or display space. Ecological polyurethane foam insulation keeps the temperature stable and reduces energy use. An alarm sounds if the condenser becomes blocked or the fan fails, alerting staff to check the unit.
A power rating of 4.7 kWh per 24 hours indicates the daily energy consumption, helping to plan kitchen loads. The 700 mm width fits standard worktop depths, while the 865 mm depth and 1370 mm height create a generous display volume without overwhelming the counter. The 230 V single-phase supply matches standard UK commercial circuits, so no special wiring is needed. The temperature range of +5 °C to +15 °C keeps confectionery safe and appealing, suitable for cream cakes, fruit tarts and decorated biscuits that would suffer in colder refrigeration.
Cleaning involves wiping the glass shelves and interior frame with a damp cloth, using mild detergent if needed. The wooden exterior can be dusted or polished according to the finish. The automatic defrost and condensate evaporation eliminate manual draining, but the condenser and fan should be checked periodically for dust or debris. The LED lighting does not require replacement for many years, and the electronic controller needs no calibration.
The JAMAIKA 700 mm is available with different wood colours, interior frame finishes and side panel options. It can be linked to other showcases for a continuous display, using combined glass dividers. The hinged doors on the 0.6 m version allow the opening direction to be chosen to suit the kitchen layout.
This warm showcase is categorised under professional refrigeration for confectionery display, combining traditional styling with modern cooling technology.
