Confectionery display case JAMAIKA Open 1400 mm PLUG-IN, Self-service. Temperature range +5ºC/+15ºC
A warm showcase keeps delicate confectionery at serving temperature while displaying it under bright, even light. The JAMAIKA Open circulates air with a built-in fan, pushing cooled air across every shelf so cakes and pastries stay fresh without drying out. Humidity control prevents icing or condensation, maintaining the texture and appearance of filled chocolates, meringues and layered sponges. The transparent shelves and glass front let customers see the products clearly, encouraging impulse purchases without opening the cabinet and losing temperature stability.
To operate, the unit is plugged into a standard 230 V single-phase supply. The electronic controller is set to the desired holding temperature between +5 °C and +15 °C, and the showcase begins cooling automatically. Shelves are loaded from the front; each shelf height and tilt can be adjusted to fit taller celebration cakes or low trays of macarons. LED strips above and below each shelf illuminate the products in a warm confectionery colour, highlighting decorations and textures. Automatic defrost cycles run without operator intervention, and condensate is evaporated inside the unit, eliminating manual drainage.
The exterior is crafted in solid wood, available in several finishes to match existing shop fittings. Side panels may be wood or glass, allowing the unit to stand alone or link seamlessly with additional showcases. Inside, the frame is painted silver, gold or black to complement the display. Three adjustable glass shelves rest on the frame, and a wooden base shelf provides extra storage or staging space. A low front glass screen protects the products while keeping them visible, and sliding back doors give staff quick access for restocking.
Power consumption of 10.2 kWh per 24 hours reflects the load on the kitchen circuit and the running cost over a full service day. The 1400 mm width provides ample display space for a full range of confectionery, while the 865 mm depth fits neatly against most worktops without protruding into customer walkways. The 1370 mm height allows eye-level presentation for seated and standing customers alike. The refrigerant blend of R134 A and R290 balances cooling performance with environmental considerations.
Cleaning is straightforward: glass shelves lift out for washing, and the wooden exterior can be wiped with a damp cloth. The electronic controller monitors condenser cleanliness and fan operation, alerting staff if airflow is obstructed. Automatic defrost and condensate evaporation remove the need for manual drainage or defrosting cycles.
The JAMAIKA Open is available in different exterior wood colours and internal frame finishes. Side panels may be specified as wood or glass, and the unit can be linked with other JAMAIKA showcases for extended display runs.
