F3/4 "BSP conical end - tube ø 6 mm
A straight fitting is the simplest connector in a catering kitchen's plumbing system, joining two lengths of tubing without a bend or branch. It relies on a compression seal: the tubing slides into the fitting, and an internal collet grips the outside wall, while an O-ring presses against the inner surface to block leaks. The design needs no solder, glue or tools beyond a push-and-twist motion, so it can be installed or removed in seconds even in tight spaces under worktops or behind cupboards.
To use the fitting, the operator cuts the tubing square, inserts it until it bottoms out, then pulls back gently to lock the collet. A quick tug confirms the grip; no further tightening is needed. The connection holds against water pressure and temperature swings typical of dishwashers, combi ovens and beverage taps, yet it can be released by pressing the collet collar and pulling the tubing free.
The fitting is manufactured by John Guest, a brand standardised across professional catering equipment for quick, reliable pipework. It is supplied as a spare part under LF article L5105272 and fits any appliance that specifies John Guest push-fit plumbing in its manual.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the exterior with a damp cloth; the internal seal is self-lubricating and requires no maintenance. The fitting is a single-size component with no variants or adjustments.
