Confectionery showcase Carmella 645 mm, Temp. range +4 / +10°C
A refrigerated display case designed to keep delicate confections at a steady, chilled temperature while presenting them through clear, illuminated glass. The unit circulates cool air with a forced-cooling system, drawing heat away from the interior and maintaining an even climate across every shelf. This method prevents condensation on the glass and ensures that pastries, chocolates and decorated cakes stay fresh without drying out or losing their texture.
The operator loads the shelves from the rear: sliding double-glazed doors on the 90 cm and 130 cm models, or hinged doors on the 60 cm model, allow access without disturbing the front display. Once the products are arranged, the temperature is set between +4 °C and +10 °C using the internal control panel. LED lighting, fitted in all versions except the hot model, switches on automatically to highlight the contents, while the double-glazed front and side panels with decorative serigraphy frame the display in golden, silver or black finishes.
The showcase is built on a powder-coated steel frame that supports a wooden casing, combining durability with a refined appearance. Non-adjustable glass shelves run the full width, each one lit from above to create a continuous band of light that draws attention to every item. The refrigerant R290, a hydrocarbon with low global-warming potential, circulates through the cooling circuit, making the unit more environmentally responsible than older systems that used synthetic gases.
At 645 mm wide, 850 mm deep and 1370 mm high, the unit fits neatly into a standard worktop run or island counter, while its 150 kg weight ensures stability without requiring permanent fixing. The temperature range of +4 °C to +10 °C suits chilled desserts, cream-filled pastries and tempered chocolates, but excludes frozen items or hot-holding applications.
Cleaning follows the construction: the powder-coated steel and wooden casing wipe down with a damp cloth, while the glass shelves and doors can be removed for thorough washing. The LED lighting requires no maintenance beyond occasional dusting, and the forced-cooling system is accessed from the rear for filter changes and coil cleaning.
Three versions are available: refrigerated (CH) for chilled display, hot (GR) for heated products, and neutral (NE) for ambient storage. Each version shares the same external dimensions, weight and finish options, allowing a uniform look across multiple units in the same kitchen.
