Showcases for meat products HAWANA 1330 mm
A refrigerated showcase built to display meat products while keeping them at safe chilled temperatures. The HAWANA 1330 mm model uses a refrigeration cycle that circulates R290, a hydrocarbon refrigerant chosen for its low environmental impact and efficient heat transfer. Inside the unit, an evaporator absorbs heat from the storage chamber, cooling the air that surrounds the meat. The heat is then expelled outside, maintaining the set temperature range without drying the product or causing freezer burn.
Two cooling methods are available: gravity or forced. Gravity cooling relies on natural air circulation, where cooler air sinks and warmer air rises, creating a gentle, even chill. Forced cooling uses a fan to push cold air through the chamber, achieving faster temperature recovery and tighter control, which is useful when the door is opened frequently or ambient temperatures are high. The operator selects the version that matches the kitchen's workflow and the volume of traffic the showcase will see.
The sequence of use begins with loading the stainless steel storage chamber, where meat products are arranged on shelves or trays. The curved front glass slides open for access, then seals shut to maintain the internal climate. The heater under the worktop and front glass prevents condensation from forming on the glass, ensuring a clear view of the product at all times. The evaporator heater stops ice from building up, which would otherwise reduce cooling efficiency. The operator sets the desired temperature range using the controls, and the unit maintains it automatically, cycling the refrigerant as needed.
The showcase is constructed with a powder-coated steel front, ABS sides, and a chrome bumper for impact resistance. The worktop and storage chamber are made of stainless steel, except for the corners, which simplifies cleaning and prevents corrosion. A socket is provided for plugging in additional equipment, such as a digital thermometer or a small display light.
The temperature range of +2 to +8 °C for gravity cooling or 0 to +6 °C for forced cooling determines which meat products can be stored safely. The lower end of the range is suitable for raw meats that require stricter temperature control, while the upper end accommodates products like cured meats or those that can tolerate slightly warmer conditions. The 150 kg weight indicates a sturdy, floor-standing unit that is not designed to be moved frequently, so it should be positioned in its final location before installation.
Cleaning involves wiping down the stainless steel worktop and storage chamber with a mild detergent, avoiding abrasive pads that could scratch the surface. The curved glass should be cleaned with a glass cleaner to remove fingerprints and smudges. The evaporator and its heater require occasional inspection to ensure no ice or debris is blocking airflow, which could reduce cooling performance. The ABS sides and powder-coated steel front can be wiped with a damp cloth, but harsh chemicals should be avoided to prevent damage to the finish.
Two versions of the HAWANA 1330 mm showcase are available: one with gravity cooling and one with forced cooling. The choice depends on the specific needs of the kitchen, such as how often the showcase will be accessed and the ambient temperature of the environment.
This showcase is categorised under refrigerated display units for meat products, designed for use in butcher shops, delicatessens, and professional kitchens where chilled storage and presentation are required.
