Confectionery showcase MAGNUM 1440 mm, Temp. range +6 / +12°C
A refrigerated confectionery showcase keeps delicate pastries, chocolates and cakes at a steady cool temperature while presenting them to customers through clear glass. The unit circulates chilled air behind the shelves, drawing heat away from the food and maintaining a narrow band of temperatures that slows spoilage without freezing. This method preserves texture, colour and flavour better than a standard refrigerator, which cycles on and off and creates wider swings in temperature.
The MAGNUM 1440 mm showcase from JUKA is loaded from the front and sides. The operator lifts the curved front glass to place trays of éclairs, macarons or gateaux on the adjustable glass shelves. Side panels and a double-glazed rear door slide open for restocking larger items or for cleaning. LED lighting inside the cabinet highlights the products without adding heat, so the display stays bright and the temperature remains stable.
To start the unit, the operator sets the desired temperature between +6 °C and +12 °C on the control panel. The refrigeration system, charged with R290 refrigerant, begins circulating chilled air through ducts behind the shelves. A fan distributes the air evenly, ensuring every shelf receives the same cooling effect. The bottom decks run on tray slides, allowing quick access to stored items without disturbing the display above. Wheels fitted to the base let the showcase be moved for cleaning or reorganisation of the shop floor.
The MAGNUM is built with a stainless-steel interior for hygiene and durability, while the exterior casing is finished in wood for a warm, professional look. The front and side glasses can be ordered with silver or black serigraphy to match the shop's colour scheme. An automatic water-evaporation system prevents condensation from pooling inside the cabinet, reducing the need for manual drying.
The 1440 mm width provides a generous display area for a busy bakery or café counter, while the 300 kg weight indicates a sturdy construction that will not shift during service. The temperature range of +6 °C to +12 °C is tailored for confectionery: cool enough to keep cream fillings firm and chocolate from melting, yet warm enough to avoid freezing delicate decorations.
Three versions are available: refrigerated (CH) for chilled display, hot (GR) for heated items such as pies or pastries, and neutral (NE) for ambient storage. The hot version is only produced in the 1440 mm size. All versions share the same lift-up front glass, adjustable shelves and LED lighting, except the hot model where lighting is omitted to prevent additional heat.
Cleaning is straightforward: the glass shelves and bottom decks lift out for washing, and the stainless-steel interior wipes down quickly. The sliding rear doors and lift-up front glass allow full access to the interior, while the wheels make it easy to move the unit for deep cleaning of the floor beneath. The automatic water-evaporation system reduces the frequency of manual drying, but the operator should still check the drainage area periodically to ensure it remains clear.
