JUKA Showcase YORK 100/110 for Chilled Display

A chilled display showcase keeps perishable food at a steady low temperature while presenting it to customers. Forced cooling circulates cold air evenly across every shelf, preventing warm spots and ensuring consistent freshness. The expansion valve regulates refrigerant flow, maintaining the set temperature range without fluctuations. Automatic defrosting removes ice build-up from the evaporator, so the unit runs efficiently without manual intervention. Night blinds reduce cooling loss when the shop is closed, cutting energy use and protecting the contents.

The operator loads the shelves with chilled products, adjusts the height of each row to fit different items, and switches on the LED lighting to highlight the display. The temperature is set once and maintained automatically. When the shop closes, the night blind is drawn across the glass to retain cold air. The unit defrosts on a programmed cycle, so no manual clearing is needed.

The cabinet is built from powder-coated steel, forming a sturdy frame. Double-glazed sides or solid steel panels are available, both with a mirror-finish interior for a bright, reflective display. Five rows of shelves adjust on vertical tracks, allowing the operator to organise the space for tall bottles, shallow trays or stacked boxes. The top-mounted LED lighting illuminates the contents without adding heat.

Controls are minimal: a thermostat sets the temperature between +2 °C and +8 °C, covering the safe range for chilled food. The defrost cycle runs automatically, so no further adjustment is required.

A footprint of 1000 mm by 1075 mm fits into a standard worktop space, while a height of 2000 mm allows full visibility from across the shop. The 270 kg weight means the unit is moved on a trolley or pallet jack, not lifted by hand. A useful surface of 3.8 m² provides ample room for a full range of chilled products without crowding.

Cleaning involves wiping the shelves and interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The night blind is removed and cleaned separately. The exterior steel panels are wiped down to remove fingerprints and dust. The forced cooling system requires no daily maintenance beyond checking that air vents are unobstructed.

Three versions are available: without doors, with sliding doors or with hinged doors. The choice depends on shop layout and customer access needs.
