A chilled showcase keeps prepared food and beverages at safe serving temperatures while presenting them to customers under bright, even lighting. The unit circulates cold air across the shelves, drawing heat away from the products and maintaining a steady temperature between +2 °C and +8 °C. Forced cooling ensures rapid recovery whenever the doors are opened or new items are loaded, preventing warm spots that could compromise food safety. Automatic defrost cycles clear any ice build-up without manual intervention, so the unit stays efficient and the display remains clear at all times.
To use the showcase, the operator first sets the desired temperature on the control panel. Shelves are adjusted to the required height for the items being displayed, and night blinds are rolled down when the unit is not in service to reduce energy consumption. Products are loaded onto the shelves, and the doors—if fitted—are closed. The LED lighting illuminates the display, and the forced cooling system maintains the set temperature. When restocking, items are added directly to the shelves, and the doors are closed promptly to minimise temperature fluctuations.
The construction is powder-coated steel, providing a durable, easy-to-clean surface. The exterior is finished in powder-coated steel, while the interior uses mirror-finish steel for a bright, reflective display. Double-glazed sides are available for models that require visibility from both sides, while solid sides are used where wall mounting or back-to-back installation is preferred. The top-mounted LED lighting ensures even illumination across the entire display area, highlighting the products without generating excess heat.
The control panel allows the operator to set and monitor the temperature, ensuring it remains within the +2 °C to +8 °C range. Automatic defrosting is managed by the system, eliminating the need for manual defrost cycles. Night blinds, when fitted, are rolled down at the end of service to reduce energy use and protect the display from dust and ambient light.
The 1000 mm width provides ample space for a variety of chilled products, while the 2000 mm height allows for multiple shelves, maximising the display area. The 3.4 m² useful surface area offers flexibility for organising different types of food and beverages, from pre-packaged meals to fresh salads and desserts. The 240 kg weight ensures stability, making the unit suitable for high-traffic areas without risk of tipping or shifting.
Cleaning involves wiping down the powder-coated steel exterior and mirror-finish interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Shelves can be removed for thorough cleaning, and the night blinds should be wiped regularly to maintain hygiene. The forced cooling system and automatic defrosting reduce the need for manual maintenance, but the air vents should be checked periodically to ensure they are free from dust and debris.
The showcase is available in three configurations: without doors, with sliding doors, or with hinged doors. Each version is designed to suit different service styles, from self-service displays to staff-assisted counters. The choice of doors affects access, visibility, and energy efficiency, allowing operators to select the model that best fits their workflow.
The unit is categorised as a chilled display showcase, designed for use in professional kitchens, cafés, and retail environments where food safety and presentation are critical.
