JUKA Showcase YORK 150/110 for Chilled Display

A chilled showcase keeps prepared food at safe serving temperatures while presenting it to customers under bright, even lighting. The unit circulates refrigerated air across every shelf, ensuring that salads, desserts and chilled platters stay between +2 °C and +8 °C without drying out or forming ice crystals. An expansion valve regulates the refrigerant flow, matching the cooling load to the ambient conditions so the showcase maintains temperature even when the kitchen is warm or the doors are opened frequently.

To load the showcase, the operator slides the night blind up, arranges the food on the five adjustable shelves, and closes the blind again. When the unit is switched on, forced cooling begins immediately; the automatic defrost cycle runs at set intervals, melting any frost on the evaporator without manual intervention. LED lighting above the shelves illuminates the display evenly, drawing attention to the products without adding heat.

The frame is powder-coated steel for durability and easy cleaning. The sides are available in two finishes: double-glazed panels that let customers see the display from both sides, or solid powder-coated steel with a mirror-polished interior that reflects the food and the lighting. Each shelf can be repositioned to accommodate taller items or to create more space between rows.

Controls are minimal: a thermostat sets the target temperature within the +2 °C to +8 °C range, and a defrost timer initiates the automatic cycle. The 1500 mm width and 1075 mm depth provide a generous 5.7 m² of useful display surface, while the 2000 mm height allows the unit to fit beneath standard worktop extractor hoods. At 340 kg, the showcase is heavy enough to remain stable on the floor but can still be moved with a pallet truck or sack barrow.

Three door configurations are offered: open-fronted for self-service, sliding doors for tight spaces, or hinged doors for maximum insulation when the showcase is not in constant use. Night blinds reduce cooling loss and protect the food when the kitchen is closed.
