A chilled display cabinet keeps prepared food, desserts or chilled drinks at serving temperature while presenting them to customers. The unit draws warm air from the room, cools it with a refrigeration circuit, then circulates the chilled air evenly across the shelves. This steady airflow maintains the set temperature range without drying the products or forming ice on the surfaces, so items stay fresh and visually appealing throughout service.

The operator loads the shelves with trays or plates, sets the desired temperature on the control panel, and switches the unit on. LED lighting above the display area illuminates the contents, while night blinds can be drawn to protect the stock when the premises are closed. An automatic defrost cycle prevents ice build-up on the evaporator, ensuring consistent cooling without manual intervention.

The cabinet is built from powder-coated steel, with double-glazed sides that allow customers to view the products from both sides. The interior surfaces are finished in mirror steel for easy cleaning and a bright, reflective display. Five rows of adjustable shelves provide flexible storage for different product heights and tray sizes.

Controls include a thermostat to set the temperature between +2 °C and +8 °C, a switch for the LED lighting, and a mechanism to operate the night blinds. The forced-cooling system ensures rapid recovery of temperature after the doors are opened, maintaining food safety standards.

At 1500 mm wide, 680 mm deep and 2000 mm high, the unit fits along a wall or as an island in medium to large retail or food-service spaces. The 3.5 m² useful display surface allows generous presentation of chilled items, while the 240 kg weight requires a stable floor and may need two people to move it into position.

Cleaning involves wiping the interior and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent, removing and washing the shelves separately, and ensuring the night blinds are free of dust. The automatic defrost system reduces the need for manual defrosting, but the condensate tray should be checked and emptied regularly.

The YORK 150/70 is available without doors, with sliding doors or with hinged doors, allowing operators to choose the best configuration for customer access and energy efficiency.
