JUKA Showcase YORK 200/90 for Chilled Display

A chilled display showcase keeps prepared food, desserts or beverages at a steady low temperature while presenting them to customers. Forced cooling draws warm air from the cabinet, passes it over an evaporator coil chilled by refrigerant, and returns the cooled air through a diffuser at the top. The expansion valve regulates refrigerant flow, maintaining the set temperature range of +2 to +8 °C. Automatic defrost cycles prevent ice build-up on the coil, ensuring consistent cooling without manual intervention. The operator loads the shelves from the rear or front, depending on the chosen door configuration. Five rows of adjustable shelves allow the height of each shelf to be set to fit different product sizes. LED lighting at the top illuminates the display evenly, making colours vivid and drawing attention to the items. When the shop closes, night blinds are pulled down to reduce energy use and protect the contents from ambient heat and light. The YORK 200/90 is built on a powder-coated steel frame. The sides are available in two finishes: double glass for a transparent view of the display, or solid powder-coated steel with a mirror-finish steel interior. The exterior remains consistent in appearance, matching other professional equipment in the kitchen or shop. Controls are minimal and automatic. The temperature is set within the +2 to +8 °C range, and the system maintains it through forced cooling and the expansion valve. Automatic defrosting runs on a timer, eliminating the need for manual defrost cycles. The LED lighting is always on when the unit is powered, providing continuous illumination. The 2000 mm width and 875 mm depth create a footprint that fits standard worktop depths and allows the showcase to be placed against a wall or used as a freestanding island. The 370 kg weight means the unit is moved on a pallet truck or with a team of two or three people. The 6.8 m² useful surface provides ample space for a large variety of chilled items, allowing the display to be organised for maximum visibility and accessibility. The mirrored steel interior reflects every product clearly while the powder-coated exterior resists kitchen splashes and wipes clean without streaking. The adjustable shelves can be removed for thorough cleaning. Night blinds should be wiped down regularly to prevent dust build-up. The forced cooling system and automatic defrosting reduce the need for manual maintenance, but the air intake and diffuser should be checked periodically to ensure they are not blocked by debris. The YORK 200/90 is available in three configurations: without doors, with sliding doors, or with hinged doors. The choice depends on the shop layout and how frequently items need to be accessed. Each version maintains the same cooling performance and display area.
